Whenever I’m on the shower, I perform a lot of songs but I also think about life, there are many factors in everyone’s life. Mine is God, Swimming, Education, Dreamworks and my Homeland. God is important to me. I’m a Coptic Orthodox and my family try to go to church every sunday. We also sometimes come in Friday and Saturday nights. In Sunday, there is a liturgy, or a mass. In church, people get baptized when they’re a few month old and they take their first communion. In Friday and Saturday we have hymns classes and Choir/Band meetings. In Sunday, we all go to Sunday School after the liturgy. I also pray every day and try to read the bible before I sleep every night. Next is DreamWorks. DreamWorks has made tons of movies I grew up
After high school there are many things I want to do and carry out in my life. Upon graduation, I plan to attend Clark Atlanta University. I plan to major in criminal justice and law in hopes to pursue a career as a prosecutor. My strengths that will help me secure this dream is that I am very determined and I have astounding work ethic. My weaknesses that may hinder me from securing this dream will be my past mistakes and the lack of tenacity. Disney Dreamers Academy can help increase the odds of my success by giving me that encouragement and inspiration that I am seeking. The academy can also help by connecting me to people who was once in my predicament who can give advice on how to deal with my
In To Kill a Mockingbird, Harper Lee used Atticus to prove the theme that every individual is unique but, everybody is created as equals and are still huaman during his closing statement to the jury. Defending for Tom Robinson, Atticus starts by “unbuttoned his vest, unbuttoned his collar, loosened his tie, and [taking] off his coat”(1). He shows the jury and the spectators of Maycomb that he has nothing to hide and is willing to preach the truth. Then “he [began] talking to the jury as if they were folks on the post office corner”(2) and was acting as if they were having a friendly conversation. Atticus states that he is “confident that [the] gentlemen [in the jury] would go along with [prosecutor] on the assumption—the evil assumption—that all Negroes lie, that all Negroes are basically immoral beings, that all Negro men are not to be trusted around our women, an assumption one associates with minds of their caliber”(5).
In To Kill a Mockingbird, one of Atticus Finch’s most significant qualities, courage, impacts the story. Throughout the book, Harper Lee portrays courage as doing something out of your comfort zone, for the greater good or a good cause. The first example shows how Atticus’s quality of courage impacts the story. Atticus is sitting in front of the jail cell where Tom Robinson, the African-American man he is defending, is being kept. When Mr. Cunningham and the rest of his followers confront Atticus, he stays strong, keeps his ground and doesn’t let anything happen to Tom. The interaction starts with Mr. Cunningham approaching Atticus, “He in there, Mr. Finch? He is, and he’s asleep. Don’t wake him up. In obedience to my father. There followed what I later realized was a sickeningly comic aspect of an unfunny situation: the men talked in near-whispers. You know what we want. Get Aside from the door, Mr. Finch. You can turn around and go home, Walter. Heck Tate’s around somewhere.”(171-172) Atticus stops Mr. Cunningham and his men from harming Tom before his trial. It took courage to stand up to men who are usually cordial with him resulting in Tom not being killed and allowing the trial to continue. In the second example, it shows how Atticus’s actions reflect what how Harper Lee believes courage looks like in everybody. Atticus is brought to a tough decision in whether or whether not to defend Tom Robinson. When Scout asks him about the case and why he decided

It was a freezing winter day in December and my mom’s cousin, Emanuel, was coming in from out of town to enjoy his short winter break. The agenda for that particular day was a trip to Universal Studios, which I was dreading due to the weather. As my family and I approached the Universal Studios gates I could hear the piercing noise of speakers projecting someone's voice greeting us to their amusement park. When I walked into the actual park, there was the smell of freshly made hamburgers, which my family and I were craving because we had skipped breakfast to get there early. After eating the delicious meal my older sister and I split away from the group to go enjoy the rides we wanted to.

There is a saying that has been said for many years, “A family that prays together stayed together”. Christianity has been passed down from generations. They may have a family Bible that has been passed down that tells the family marriage line and deaths within the family. When it comes to family rituals there are several religious practices that can be passed down. The first family ritual is Baptism. In most Christian churches infants is baptism in a ceremony in front of the congregation. They vow to protect and pray for the infant. John 3:5 states that “Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God (King James Bible, 1973). Another family ritual would be Communion. This is a monthly celebration. We feast upon the bread of Christ and drink his blood. To better understand communion, it is a ceremony that is done on the first Sunday of the month in some churches or at Mass at other churches. This is done in remembrance of the last supper that Jesus had with his disciples. This family ritual is handed down from our heavenly father. Worship services can also be a part of family rituals. Most of the time worship services consist of singing, prayer and a sermon by a pastor. The family gathers on Sunday morning for Sunday School and worship services. They may even have incorporated a family ritual of going to Wednesday night and Thursday night church services. Prayer is also considering to be a
In order for me to help each student with linguistics needs, I have to appreciate every individual student 's level of English language proficiency. The best manner to make my lessons understandable and clear to them is substituting certain challenging phrases with simpler expressions. I am going to create a more individual rapport with each of my students to stimulate them to ask for interpretation when they do not comprehend certain information and to offer them more time to ask questions.
