Driving Causes Affected Driving : Consequences And Accidents

About one in every five crashes in the state of Texas alone are due to distracted drivers on the road. Most of the accidents are more common in younger people from ages sixteen16 to thirty four34. In the year of 2016, there were 109,658 accidents that were all due to distracted driving in some way. As a result from all of these crashes, there were about 3,000 injured and 455 killed. On the road, concentration is more than necessary; it is the difference between life and death. H, however in this modern day andin age, there is more than just a radio to distract you when going down the road. The definition of distracted driving is, “the practice of driving a motor vehicle while engaged in another activity, typically one that involves the use of a mobile phone or other electronic device.” This definition is correct but, not entirely. For instance, it does not always have to be a phone or a radio that causes an accident because the driver was distracted. It could be because you were talking with the person that was sitting in the passenger seat next to you. You might be wondering, “Wwhy? It is just talking, it is harmless.” Well, the reason talking to someone else can be a distraction is because, when you are talking to someone you are having to process what you want to say to the other person which lessens your full attention when you are driving down the road.
