Which should be better for a teen to be behind the wheel. Should age determine if you should be able to drive early or should you have to get a graduated license. Teens have a high death rate in vehicles because they are not well prepared to drive.
Age shouldn't determine wether if you should drive, or not because statistics shows that men that are older age get in more accidents then teenagers, and if this is true we should just only let the women drive. Teens are on the edge of becoming adults and they have lives just like everyone els. They need to do their daily habits such as traveling, going to the store, or just to hang out with friends and family. Teens shouldn't have to wait for a certain age to begin driving around. Raising the age
Irresponsible behavior can be one of the biggest reasons why teens shouldn't drive. Even though some teens are responsible most can be pretty foolish when it come to driving. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says drivers that are around 16 years of age especially
Many people think that the driving age should be moved up to age 18 or 21 for teenage drivers in the U.S. I believe that that idea is a futile idea and will not be very effective.
I understand that individuals want the driving age to be raised. Sixteen-year-olds can be very irresponsible and immature. There are also the safety concerns that can happen, for example, car crashes. However, I believe that the age requirement to drive should stay the same. Teens get the freedom they have been wanting. Teens are able to get jobs to help save up for college. Teens can also learn the responsibilities that come with driving or owning a vehicle. Therefore, what I am trying to say is sixteen-year-olds are responsible enough to
Responsibility is the most important thing when it comes to teenagers. To succeed in life, the most important thing you need to do in life is be responsible. One reason for rising the age of driving is that teens usually get in car accidents when they are teens. The reason why people argue about age is because of how teens should drink at a early age so they could become more responsible when they are older. Teenagers should not be able to drive until age 20 because their brain is not fully developed, so if they are able to drive at a young age, they are not going to make smart decisions with the car.
Raising the driving age will cause more death to the older teen by them waiting until their 18 because if they wait they wouldn't have to go through the hoops young teen had to go through. Aubrey’s article states, “ 18 year old drivers increased, and they were behind the wheel and 1,086 more fatal accidents including 18 year olds.” Although scientist have found that 16- year olds have more fatal car crashes. 16 year olds have better experience then 18 year olds because some 16 year olds go through
In my opinion I believe that the minimum durning age should be raised . The minimum age can dangerous or not in different people's opinion. Teenagers don't have that much experience as other adults who been driving for a while . Teens it's not that they are reckless but they make simple mistakes , like failing to scan the road , misjudging driving conditions and become distracted . Some of these problems are because they can be addressed through what experts call narrative driving , having adults drivers point out to teenage passengers , examples of unsafe driving and explain to them how they are dealing with distractions on the road
In 2014, 2,270 teens in the U.S. ages 16-19 were killed and 221,313 were treated in emergency departments for injuries suffered in motor vehicle crashes. State legislature should raise minimum driving age from 16 to 18 because of the immaturity level of 16 year olds, responsibility, and they would be older and have more experience. If driving age was moved up it would make the roads a much safer place to be.
The driving age should be lowered to 14 or 15 years old because people should know how to drive a vehicle by then.People need the experience it will improve their driving skills before they get older and it will make it easier for tennagers to get to school and to their job because it will make them understand responsibility.
Many teenagers cannot wait for the day they grab ahold of their licenses. They think of many new opportunities they have waiting for them behind the wheel. Teens may use this opportunity for reasons such as driving to school and work or running errands. Yet, sometimes they can get a little careless and cause a safety concern on the road with other commuters. Therefore, the age limit should be raised to the age of eighteen.
This is just to protect teens from not getting hurt or not really ready to be on the road . Finally, with more teen fatalites on the road each year than the numbers of death reported from 9/11, you must consider changing the laws goveringing the teen driving . In fact , when sixteen years old drive they act more easily distracted from other people in the car. For instincts, they could be talking or texting on their cell phome oreven putting on make-up. Moreover, during the night driving , sixteen year olds are more likely to over correct when seeing animals or objects in the road. lastly, young sixteen year olds drivers accelerate to fast, try to beat red lights , ignore stop signs, wont let other drives change lanes in front of them. If you strongly agree that the age limt needs to be changed to eighteen. For three main resons . Older teens will be more responsible , mature , and educated to be driving rather sixteen year olds . Most eighteen year olds will have a job , and be able to pay their own insurace and put gas in their car in stead of thie parents doing it for them. There will also be much less teen fatalites than deaths reproted from 9/11. So remember to consider help
It has been brought to the attention of the people that due to safety concerns, many states have increased the age at which teens can begin to drive. While these concerns are in no way invalid I believe age isn’t the problem. Young people aren’t the only drivers who get in accidents. Many very experienced drivers get in multiple accidents in their lifetime. I believe the driving age should not be raised because, some young people have parents with disabilities which keep them from working; the earlier a person can get their license the sooner they can work, also many parents work and don’t have the time to take their kids to do extracurricular activities that will prepare them for the future, and lastly, Students who drive can create a carpool system to help the environment.
In the article “ teen driving age should be Raised, says auto safety group”, by Martha Irvine, talks about how other people and adults do agree how teens should get there licenses by the age of 18. They said that it’s also a bad thing to have them get there licenses later because it makes them more reliable and responsible if they get it now.
Every licensed driver has to go through the same driving test so why are there such major differences with rules between adults and teenagers? Years of experience does have an impact on how good of a driver people are but that should not change a teens laws and restrictions. However, motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death and injury among adolescents between the ages of 16 and 19 (Hartos). Parents do have an impact on teens such as teaching them to drive and governing their access to vehicles (Simons-Morton P). Also, parents set driving rules such as “don’t drink and drive,” “tell parents where you are going and with whom”, and “be home at a certain time” (Simons-Morton). All licensed drivers should have the same rules and laws no matter the age.
Would waiting until the age of 18 be better off to drive? Or participating in a graduated licensing program? Which of these option would be better to decrease accidents? I would be making an argument about both of the text provided for me.
I believe that the driving age should not change because many teens go to work and they need to drive and as well as going to school. Many parents aren't able to take their children to school so instead they go and make them get their permit to get their license at young age in order to get to school or work if they have job. According to the article “fatal crashes among
