Every year, around a million of high schoolers dropout due to many different reasons. Not to mention the failure rate of teens for their driving test slowly going higher after every passing year. So would putting up a bill requiring a person to earn a high school diploma before he or she could receive a driver’s license is just asking for more trouble. Having up a law that requires this type of accomplishment would just make living in a poor household even harder, especially when the teen in question needs to dropout to help his family survive on what little they have. Plus, what would happen to those that have their license now, but have not graduated high school. The bill must be resented at all costs to keep everything flowing well. Families
Joseph is a redshirt senior who has appeared in 41 games for UConn, while registering 260 total tackles and 11.5 tackles for loss. Joseph is the leader of the defense and is responsible for lining of the linemen and linebackers. Joseph is active in run defense and has the ability to cover some tight ends and slower running backs. Joseph does not posses elite athleticism, which has turned into an essential trait for inside linebackers to succeed in the NFL today. Joseph plays sideline-to-sideline but does not have the speed to track down offensive players who breakthrough on the outside. Joseph will get a chance at the next level, but I believe there are stronger candidates for the 2018 Senior Bowl due to Joseph’s lack of athleticism.
Attending community college before completing your bachelor’s degree at a four-year institution can save you a sizable chunk of change. Tuition and fees at public community colleges average less than half of those at public four-year colleges and about one-tenth of those at private four-year colleges, according to the American Association of Community Colleges. “I think my student loan was at least half of what I would have paid otherwise,” O’Brien says.
In 2011, the state legislators of Alaska, Illinois, Kentucky, Maryland and Rhode Island all considered raising the high school dropout age to 18, yet Rhode Island was the only state that proved successful (Lewin, 2012). Only a year later, President Barack Obama urged all states to move the dropout age to 18 in his State of the Union Address. This was the first time Washington directly addressed an issue that many state legislators found difficult to present (Ho, 2017). In the past, the dropout age was set at 16 in a majority of the nation. Some states still hold that legislation, however, most recently the District of Columbia and 21 other states require mandatory attendance until the age of 18. While 11 other states require mandatory
Many schools across the country have been implementing the “no pass/no drive” law for a few decades. Under this law, state officials have the power to confiscate student's driver's license if they have poor grades or too many absences. This law is thought to help decrease the state’s High school dropout rate. California should implement and enforce the “no pass no drive” law to all public high schools to decrease dropout rates.
Passing a bill that says you can't get a driver's permit until you have a secondary school certificate would be an extremely incautious
Many people dream of going to a well-known Public Four-Year College when they think about their future. But, for some, Community College is the only option. “ The Benefits Access for College Completion (BACC) initiative was a multi-year initiative designed to provide community college students with access to a full range of public benefits in order to reduce financial barriers to college completion.” (Duke-Benfield) This initiative took effect for people who attend college and have families to attend to at home.

Many high school students succeed with a little leniency through their four years. The transfer from high school to college becomes overwhelming and a struggle for some. For students do not comprehend the importance of changing more than their location during the transition. A student must be psychologically, physically, and emotionally mature to pursue college and not venture into a point of no return. Dropping out of college makes the outlook of the conversion difficult to acquire. Individuals should take their time on deciding which college and/or university is the best match for them. There are various reasons that cause persons not to prosper. Issues that individuals may come upon might leave a lifelong scar. Matters such as these
People should have a high school diploma before they get a driver's licences for two reasons they are, some people are too immature to be handling a driver's license, some people who do have a driver's licence but no car sometimes don’t really have enough education about how to drive cars, but for a counter claim ;however, Most people would learn at a younger and better age to drive than those who learn to old and have some difficulties remembering.
The first Amendment clearly states “Congress shall make no law respecting—the right of the people peaceably to assemble.” This amendment shows that people have the right to come together to defend their beliefs. Student walkouts have been occurring frequently due to the Florida shooting where Nickolas Cruz opened fire to his classmates. Many lives were lost in the horrific event and students felt like their safety was been violated. Many guns are falling into the wrong hands and costing people their lives. If students are willing to walk out of school in honor of the lost lives they shouldn’t have to question if they’re own individual rights are at risk. Students are walking out in hopes of legislators to implement gun control. Alexia Campbell states in “Students have a right to Protest Gun Violence but they can’t Disrupt Class,” that students must still abide by the rules of the school if they participate in the walk out to defend their rights. In another opinion editorial, “Can School discipline Students for Protesting” Vera Eidelman addresses the issue of schools having the right to punish students if
Considering the bill to require a high school diploma to achieve a driver's license is outrageous. Not only is this idea unconstitutional, but there are many more reasons why.
Entering high school is the beginning of a whole new learning experience. Transitioning from middle school, high school presents more classes, students, and a bigger campus. It brings new expectations and responsibilities to each of us. High school also offers fresh chances to make new friends, try new sports and activities, and really explore who we are as individuals. The goal is to maintain good grades, score high on the SAT test, and keep a positive attitude so colleges and universities will accept you. Of course it's not as easy at sounds, but it's achievable. It requires a lot of work and dedication to every subject. Some students breeze their way through while others live in misery trying to pass their
All through high school one always wonders why certain courses have to be taken. Thinking certain courses are a waste of one’s time and how it takes 12 years just to receive a diploma. Sounds crazy to think half of one’s life is spent in school preparing to receive a better understanding of education. During graduation, walking through the stage makes one along other proud and accomplished of all the efforts that took place. This not only helps one become more educated and aware of the things going around them, but helps become financially stable with a job or other necessities in life. Therefore, high school should be mandatory for students at least till there are 18, and not to drop-out.
Change. Good or bad, effective or null, there will always be change. While change has the potential to amazing things, it also has the ability to turn things for the worse. A reduction in the age requirement for a student to drop out, for example. A change such as this would have an incredible potential to worsen the situation. There are pros and cons to every decision, regardless of the kind it is. However, in this case, the cons greatly outweigh the pros, enough so that one should tread carefully when coming to a decision.
I think that people should not be able to get their driver's license before they get their diploma.
