Warwick Castle is presumably Britain's most energizing mansion to visit for tourism reasons as they host and engage an extensive variety of occasions, fight shows and shows consistently.
Warwick is a medieval castle built by William the Conqueror in 1068. It is the county town of Warwickshire, England. “Warwick Castle, built of the very centuries, cannot be expected to alter with time's 'brief hours and weeks' - at least, with so few of them as fall to one poor mortal's lot. From visit to visit, I find it as unchanged as the multiplication table,” said Katharine Lee Bates. Warwick castle is known as one of the most haunted castles in Great Britain steeped in folklore and tradition.
Built in 1628, the castle strengthened England’s hold on the area. In fact, this is one of the biggest castles in Wales. It also boasts of the strongest defensive system of any British Castle. More so, the castle was enlarged several times. It also has a moat, two impressive drawbridges, round towers and massive walls. You will also see 4 full size replicas of medieval artillery guns. Furthermore, the exhibits inside have details of its involvement in the wars between the English and Welsh. In fact, tourists take a boat ride across the lake to get an inspiring view of the castle.
Castles have been around for a very long time. A medieval castle was the fortified home of an important person, such as a lord or king. The medieval period, also called the Middle Ages, lasted from the 5th century C.E. to the end of the 15th century. During this time, many castles were built in Europe and the Middle East. They ranged from simple wooden enclosures to vast stone palaces. The first castle to be built was in 1000 A.D. Most castles are located in England, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, and Whales. They were usually dark, clammy, and cold. Castles were often built on hills or on plains for them to be able to see their enemies. They were used for many different reasons. Castles were used in a defensive manner, in an offensive manner, and they were used for people to live in. They would serve purposes that just a regular place couldn’t serve. They were
It was a sunny day so we decided to play outside. You were running and playing with Vaha and then you saw me and Jia Qi at the sandpit area. You came to me and told me to help you make a sand castle. I showed you how to do it and when you saw it, you wanted to do more so we put some sand into a castle bucket. It was heavy when it was full so I helped you turn it around so that it would stand. Before you pulled the castle bucket up, you tapped it three times and there we saw a nice sand castle. We did it many times because you were enjoying looking at them. When we saw that there was a lot already, I asked you to count them you were able to count all seven of them. Good counting Abi! It was fun playing with you and I’m looking forward to do

The castle is a popular tourist attraction and it still remains intact and has a design commonly used in France during the renaissance. The castle had to be restored in the 19th century due to it being raided with furniture and the timber being sold off. The castle was never fully completed due to Francis dyeing in December 1560, due to this the castle was needed to be built over a long period of time, this involved many people, it is said that Leonardo Da Vinci helped design the
When people think of a medieval castle, they often tend to visualize a “fairy tale representation” of something that they had seen in a Disney film. The buildings are usually lavish-looking and filled with whimsical wonder and intrigue, but no one really wonders about the story behind the architecture and style used to construct it. This generic idea is merely scratching the surface of what an actual castle from the medieval era would look like or stand for. From the history of its walls to the drama behind its gates, medieval castles prove to be so much more than just a large, beautiful building sat on top of a hill. Once one learns of the backstory behind a castle and the brutal struggles it
The settlements that existed in the countryside of Munster were Anglo-Irish dominated and were from the high medieval period (O'Conor 2004, p. 231). The land that was conquered by theses settlers was then divided into between them into estates which are called manors (O'Conor 2004, p. 232). In the centre of these manors resided a manorial lord most often in different types of castles. These castles divide into large masonry castles such as the Adare castle in county Limerick, or smaller masonry castles which break up into hall-houses, mottes and ringworks (O'Conor 2004, p. 232). These castles also had defensive features made from earth and timber (O'Conor 2004, p. 232) the majority of castles built by Anglo-Normans were made completely of timber and earth.
