I am looking for the man who is attracted to my picture portfolio, actually reads this profile, realizes just how hungry and lonely he’s been for someone ready to share the happiness in her soul to lift his. That man has to be big enough, secure in himself that friendship comes before sex and attraction. You must be old enough, wise enough, and smart enough to know that sex and attraction is also based on two-way chemistry, and is a completely separate entity from companionship. Some long-married couples survive having just one of the two. I have grown tired of the suitors who have pursued me so far. Let them wallow in their ignorance. I am a girl who has made an art form of fitting in rather than standing out. I fit in so well that no one detects I am a transgendered female. I stay to myself, bother nobody, and share …show more content…
I put myself on this date site because I finally came to the conclusion that what I have inside ought be shared with someone that – I - determine deserves it, not the other way around. I am obviously smart, but don’t laud it over others, look my best as naturally as I can until I can’t anymore. I am a simple girl with simple tastes and require little to keep me happy. Discussing anything from world and national events to how your day went over a Dunkin Donut and coffee will leave me smiling from ear to ear. Going to the latest box office draws on senior day for half price makes me feel like we beat the system. Ripping coupons out of the Sunday morning newspaper and/or the mail flyers for buy one get one free breakfast through dinner is the bomb. Fishing? Well, I used to and still would if I could figure out a way that didn’t involve buying a boat I can’t afford. Besides, the Seafood Market on Mayland Pkwy has awesome fish all cleaned up I can cook, although I used to love the pickerel I used to catch up north. I raised my kids to enjoy camping and they still do remembering wonderful memories. I used to have an

Imagine, you go to work in your dress shoes, black suit, buzz-cut hair, red power tie, and nobody pays you a second look. But, the second you get home, you kick off your shoes, and don high-heels, the suit is replaced with a dress, your short wig is taken off, and you let your long curls fall, and your tie is in the closet, with a necklace in its place. Such hiding of true feelings is not an unheard concept in the transgender world. Millions of transgender people will never express their true feelings in their lifetime. This is similar to

Many people believe that Waffle House, a famous restaurant chain, is a dirty place and that deters people from ever visiting but there is way more to it. Now, Waffle House is not the cleanest; I’ll give the people that, but the environment you step into is the best, plus the food is awesome.
American society today is not any different from the past, except today people are apt to discuss everything publicly on various social media outlets such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram just to name a few. Transgender persons happen to be one of those subjects that have become the hot topic of the new normal. Nowadays there are blogs, tweets, and pictures posted online of people’s transition “coming out.” Like the past, society is still tough when it comes to judging each other. Although transgender might not have had a recognized community in the past, it is prevalent that society is becoming more accepting of their community, and aware of issues their community faces. In this essay the names, nouns, or pronouns used will be in accordance to the individual’s preference.

The life of a family in 1930’s, with judgement and injustice causing conflicts. A family of 3 and a innocent man living in Maycomb, Alabama face discrimination and judgement, as justice not being served to a harmed girl. As things are different during the Great Depression, people view and believe certain things based off race, which leads to people being judged. Demonstrating people being treated unfairly. Such as discrimination because of people's skin color, stereotypes in the 1930’s, what people of color can say or do.
Despite its location, Dot’s Donut Shop was about to get famous. My grandma, Dot Peterson, has been running the shop from the basement of her aged farmhouse for 30 years. It’s not much of a shop really, more of a small business only known to family and friends. However, Grandma has still managed to make a living out of it, along with Grandpa George’s job at the local bank. Grandpa retired last year, but Grandma still gets up early every morning to start frying a fresh batch of donuts to sell to her trusty customers. The Arlington, Iowa police force members stop by every morning to chow down on their favorite glazed donuts and enjoy fresh coffee. Teachers at the local high school often stop by on their way to work for a sprinkle-covered or filled donut. Of course, Grandma also gets

Online dating has altered the process used for obtaining a romantic partner as well as has altered the process of compatibility matching. Online dating has created a new platform for meeting potential partners. Romantic relationships contribute to emotional well-being and individuals crave the intimate connections that are formed through their romantic partnerships; it is a fundamental part of human motivation. These dating sites have created a medium for potential partners to meet by alleviating the daunting task of conventional dating by solving the problems such as lack of access to potential partners, confronting potential partners regarding their romantic availability, and gathering the courage to approach strangers face to face (Finkel, Eastwick, Karney, Reis, & Sprecher, 2012).
There’s no question that dating 40 years ago was much different than dating now. While back then we actually had to go out and meet somebody to be seen, now, with the click of a button, our entire lives can instantly go public. Social media has created this labeling phenomenon in which individuals can categorize another based on a certain trait. Take online dating, for example. We set up a profile that includes hobbies, interests, places lived, and even sometimes body shape. But the most important part stressed is the profile picture. The picture posted is the first thing somebody sees when they scroll through the thousands of liable suitors. Our picture ends up being our first, and sometimes only, impression. Online dating promotes negative categorization that blinds one from what really matters. We can begin to eliminate this problem by limiting the number of free photos a person can view within a given time urging people to initially look for shared qualities rather than looks.
Being myself around others is easy, but becoming myself is what has truly defined me. I had to discover my authentic self, despite the overwhelming input and expectations of everyone and everything around me. Genetically, I was born into the world female, but inherently, I knew I was transgender before even learning that “gender” was a word. I used to believe that someone had “made a mistake”, because I was arbitrarily born in a girl’s body. But now I know, that was exactly where I was supposed to be. It would have been easier if I was just born genetically male, but I know my time spent living as a female and my time spent living as a transgender male has enabled me to accept, appreciate, and have the ability to communicate with people from all walks of life. The limitations, unwanted attention, and stereotypes that accompany being transgender could have easily broken me, but instead I have geared my experiences towards forming myself into the confident, fearless person I am today.
