When I was in third grade I got suspended. It was my fault, I got suspended for two things. First reason was I hit my teacher with a flying pencil top eraser. The second reason was because me and my friend was not the most appropriate people in our school. We were always doing something bad. The day this happened was pretty normal. I was not listening to the teacher that well, and he was yelling at me and another boy for not writing or spelling tests in cursive. I got suspended almost every year from 2nd grade to 8th grade. I already got suspended once that year. It got me out of class so I did not mind it. I didn’t mind going to the principal's office because the principal was pretty cool. She wasn’t the kind to yell first ask questions …show more content…
And I collected pencils and erasers so I had an idea. Like all my ideas when I was that young, it was a bad idea. I then put a pencil top eraser on top of the ruler, and pulled it back. I was aiming to hit the wall behind my teacher, and it was working out perfectly. Then I let go of the ruler and instead of hitting the wall like I planned it hit my teacher in the back of his bald head. He turned around quickly and yelled, “what was that.” One of the kids in the front row said, “it was an eraser, it is on the floor behind you.” With anger on his face he quickly looks down, when he looks up he says, ”Who threw that eraser.” I looked really scared I have seen this teacher mad many times but I have never seen him this mad. My friend then points at me and says, “it was Steven, he flicked it with his ruler.” My friend and I were bad kids but we do everything together, I felt betrayed. With all his fury he said, “stand up, you are going to see the principle in her office.” He then did something I do not like he dumped my desk. My friend and I were not the most mature kids so we had usually bad notes and pictures in our desks. What I did not know was my friend also put them all in my desk before the teacher dumped it. I got in trouble and suspended for a week. That day I also made a new enemy and lost a good
(d) The study found that being suspended in the 9th grade is common, impacting more than 1 in 4 students, and that suspension in the 9th grade significantly negatively affects students’ high school and post-secondary outcomes. Suspension rates and number of days suspended are disproportionately higher amongst poor, black and special education students.
It was just a big misunderstanding. The teasing had been going on for months, but you tried to hold in your anger as best as possible. When they decided to come up to you again, you were already having a bad day. It felt like you were a ticking time bomb about to explode and each word they said to you was making the timer count down faster. Once you finally blew up, you lost control of yourself because the anger was clouding your mind. It wasn’t all your fault, but all the blame was put on you and the others got away with it. A substantial amount of schools have been using the practice of suspension to punish the student who has misbehaved or violated the schools rules. Suspension hasn’t been showing much positive outcomes on the students who got it. Although some cases are that students are threatening deadly outcomes with their behavior, all the others are simples complications that can be dealt with peacefully and if held correctly, the problem won’t come up again. If schools are quick to suspend anyone even if it’s a small infraction, they are most likely to drop out of school, keep
I was in 11th grade, and I was taking Latin, which many considered to be a rigorous. I enjoyed Latin because my teacher made it extremely fun, so I was always excited to be in class. We were taking an exam, and my friend was attempting to communicate with someone and I thought she had called my name. As a result, I looked up and nodded my head. After the test, my teacher asked us both to step out and accused us of cheating. He explained that he did not want to embarrass us in class that’s why he asked us to step out after the test. I was immediately offended. I have never cheated on an exam, and after knowing him for over a year and a half I was extremely upset that he would even think that I was capable of cheating.
Students in an alternative setting that causes them to drop-out of school were also researched (Layne et al., 2014; Poutiatine & Veeder, 2011). The investigation concludes that exposure to a trauma incident increases behavior problems (Layne et al., 2014). These high-risk behaviors could contribute to repetitive suspensions (Layne et al., 2014). Therefore, trauma incidents can cause suspensions from school.
The school viewed my emails as harassing, and I was immediately suspended for one day. While my school may not have understood my true motives due to their personal involvement in the case, many other adults understood the situation perfectly
When I was in elementary school my mom would always fix me waffles every single morning. But one morning mom decided to let us have cereal. I hate cereal, I yelled to her. By that time I was so mad I poured my cereal all over her and yelled. I went upstairs and got ready to brush
The school couldn't really suspend us since we lived on campus, so we got detention for a month. Totally worth it, by the way.
It was the first day of second grade, I walked into my classroom, and I heard someone calling my name. It was the Bully (Stephanie). I didn't know that, or even what being "a bully" was. And of course, me being the social butterfly that I am, I went to go talk with her. She started laughing and calling me stupid. Also, the teacher was busy with another student, so she didn't see any of this happening. When the teacher was done helping the student, I told her what happened and she said that she would
The teacher asked the student to expunge the marker off of the dry erase board.
I got a detention for giving my friend a wet willy. The detention teacher made us pick up trash because it was nice out and I did not want to do that but she made us to do it. But she was nice to so will give my friend a wet willy ogling so I lander my lesson not to get I trouble anymore because it was
I was being yelled at by the gym teacher. I don’t remember her name, but she knew mine. “Ike! you're going to untie all these jump ropes! Or you’re not going to free time!.” I didn’t know what i did; I Didn’t like the other equipment so i made my own. I was upset i had to dismantle my contraption of three red slightly frayed Jump ropes, and a small red scooter. I was almost offended as I remember it took me almost 30 minutes and i wanted my friend to pull me by the rope. I got in trouble a handful of times, but never got in trouble for being mean or disrespectful; it was always for being “Of task”. I was never interested in the things other kids were interested in. They were all busy playing kickball, I was busy playing
Although it started out as a misunderstanding (before I ever got up), I now realize how immature and childish, and most definitely not high-school level behavior, it was to argue and disrespect a teacher, especially over something like getting water. I don’t know what I was thinking when I disobeyed the
In the play area “J” goes to the science cabinet and took blocks out from the cabinet. And the teacher saw what he is doing. She went over to him and said: “Not right now!” He didn’t like what the teacher said to him and he threw the blocks across the classroom. The teacher didn’t like what he did, and told him: “You could have hurt someone”.
I have always been looked at as a good student, but there are moments where I will do something very bad. This is about the moment in the 6th grade when I was able to avoid being suspended. It all started at recesses,so at recesses I usually go and play basketball or kickball. Yet for some reason I didn’t feel like playing that day, so I went to go hang out with some friends. When I got there, one of my friends were acting like an idiot(he was dancing) in front of this girl. He looked as if he was doing it for her entertainment like a jester. Who he was dancing for was this girl who I absolutely hated:she dated my best friend and cheated on him. So I decided to ruin her fun by pulling down the pants of my friend while he was dancing. I pulled
Snap it went. Much to my dismay, it went flying across the room. Everyone turned to face me, including my teacher, as I turned a bright shade of crimson. Some snickered, some cold stares, some laughing. The teacher placed her hands on her hips as she raised a brow.
