For as long as e-cigarettes have been around the market of cigarettes alike, the controversy of whether or not e-cigs should be regulated from advertisement has been alive almost as much as the light of electric cigarettes themselves. To add on to this debate myself, e-cigarettes are bad for the public and should therefore not be advertised on television, radio, or other forms of media devices. These advertisements can influence minors to try e-cigs, influence use of nicotine, and defies the purpose of regulations on cigarettes in general. E-cigarettes are bad for the health of an average human being, and with the advertisement of e-cigs, it influences the people to inject themselves with the many poisonous, harming chemicals in e-cigarettes …show more content…

From televisions, to smartphones, to computers, and even the billboards of New York City themselves. Using any logical fallacy (bandwagoning is a popular one), e-cig companies can easily influence the people to try out their product almost all over the world. And with this influencing comes the inevitable of directly consuming nicotine into the lungs with every puff of an e-cigarette. According to PRO/CON: Should e-cigs be regulated just like cigarettes?, the article says, “Nicotine is addictive and it is a poison - two facts that the FDA should make clear by requiring warning labels on e-cigarette devices and vials of e-juices. Skin contact with even small quantities of liquid nicotine can cause dizziness, vomiting and seizures. Ingestion can be deadly.” (Milov, 17). The FDA (Food and Drug Administration) clearly states the harmful and dangerous affects of nicotine, yet, with the bandwagoning and advertisement of e-cigs, people everywhere are even more influenced and encouraged to directly inhale the poison. Cigarettes, too, contain nicotine, and they’ve been regulated from advertising on media a long time ago. So why is it that e-cigarettes, which aren’t very different from regular cigs, haven’t been regulated
