E-Tailing Many retailers have expanded their retail market to an online market. Using the internet to sell their goods is known as e commerce. “Ecommerce allows consumers to electronically exchange goods and services with no barriers of time or distance” (Network Solutions, n.d.). E commerce has expanded rapidly in recent years due to its convenience for the consumer and the increase in businesses that use electronic retailing (e-tailing). Businesses use different marketing methods in order to reach their customers and attract new ones.
Direct Marketing Direct marketing is when businesses sell a product or service directly to the consumer (B2C). With direct marketing, businesses have several options in marketing to their consumers.

We are asking the residents of this city to assist us in meeting this goal by participating in our upcoming low cost spay and neutering clinics. We are also asking for your donations in order to get our new training program up and running so that we may train some of our older dogs to assist the elderly and disabled members of our community. Although the number of animals that are being euthanized is on the decline, any animal put to death is a precious life lost. Countless numbers of animals are being senselessly euthanized as a matter of population control. In order to reach our goals, the shelter plans to begin training as many of the older animals as service dogs because these animals are the least likely to be adopted out and the most likely to be euthanized. Hosting a low cost vaccination clinic will help reduce the number of strays and unwanted animals in the community. Euthanizing animals can no longer be used as a method of population control. We must begin to use our cities unwanted animals in order to help our neighbors in the community that need our help. Please help us by participating in our spay and neutering clinics or with a contribution to get our program off and running. Together we can make this a no kill city and improve the quality of life for our cities elderly and disabled.
Sincerely,
Your City Animal Shelter

The purpose of this proposal is to make aware of a large problem the city is facing due to pet over-population and how to resolve without taking the lives of these domesticated animals due to flaws in our laws, community out-reach, and lack of information out there to help pet owners spread across our city. The problem facing our city is that shelters are filled to capacity everyday with the majority being lost or stray animals and the only resolutions would be to either put down close to 100 animals a day or once in a while collaborate with rescues to send then out to other states in need of adoptable animals. However, the solution is right in front of us. By working with local rescues, animals wouldn’t need to be sacrificed and with proper information and assistance with spay/neuter programs, unwanted pets would be prevented, lowering the need for euthanizing.
Did you know about 25 million puppies and kittens are born into the United States each year? That’s more than 50,000 born each day in this country alone. Twenty five million pets produce yearly greatly exceeds the amount of willing families to take care of these animals that are born into the world. Even though, these massive amount of litters may in fact be completely healthy there is just not a sufficient enough of homes for this animals to be place in. statically reported by the humane society of the united states in October 2011 6 to 8 million animals who have no place to call their home are put into animal shelters. Unfortunately, due to the excessive surplus of these animals about half which is 3 to 4 million only make it out alive. The other half left to be euthanize by the shelter to make room for the new incoming animals. This turns out to be one animal euthanize every 8 sec. Pet overpopulation has been a serious problem throughout the nation for many years. The on ongoing cycle of bring unwanted litters of pets into the world makes it extremely difficult to reduce the amount of animals being euthanize across the nation each and every day. It’s important for people to understand the need to spay and neuter their family’s pets and all pets in general, all though people don’t understand that need its extremely important to take into account that these thousands of wanted any unneeded animals being born into the world each day will statically end up homeless, place in
There is an alarming amount of stray dogs on the street and the number only increases due to the fact that these dogs were not fixed. These medical procedures will help control overcrowding in dog shelters. Since these shelters do not have the space or the funds to care for all of the unwanted dogs they end up euthanized. All pet owners should be required to spay/neuter their pets unless the owner applies for breeder rights if the pet is to be breed. Spay/neutering will not only help prevent the population problems within the shelters but outside as well and it will help prevent these pet from becoming euthanized.
Animal Rescue Ranch Inc. is a non-profit corporation aimed at serving the public. The original goal was to offer refuge to the abused, abandoned, and homeless animals. The focus is to take in the special needs animals from the traditional shelters and local animal controls and look for new and permanent homes for them. In order to achieve this, the organization will establish a proactive spay and neuter clinic that will bear the name Animal Rescue Spay and Neuter Clinic. The organization will carry out programs aimed at finding homes, and adopt an aggressive sterilization approach in order to solve the problem of animal overpopulation. The sooner the organization starts running, the sooner it will make a dent in the overpopulation problem.
Notably, there are a significant number of amazing animals available for adoption, many of whom exist in shelters, which desperately seek forever homes. Sue Pethick corroborates this point by stating, “The humane society had plenty of healthy, adoptable dogs” (192). Consequently, one of the most fulfilling reasons for animal adoption is reducing the exorbitantly high euthanasia rates. According to Vegetarian Times, the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals reported that approximately 7.6 million animals exist in shelters; of those, 2.7 million each were adopted and euthanized. Upon further examination, felines were euthanized at a rate of 41%, while dogs were put to death at a rate of 31% (Barley 48). However, the future does not have to remain bleak for the
Fortunately, it seems that many communities offer a low cost spay and neuter clinic whom also offer routine vaccinations and microchip services at the time of the surgery. These clinics have helped thousands of pet owners have their pets responsibly sterilized and have the chance to get them up to date on their vaccinations. These low-cost clinics offer services that otherwise may not be sought out due to their excessive cost, all while still employing licensed professionals, and following all of the standards set by the
Did you know more than 7.6 million companion animals are taken into shelters nationwide, 3.9 million are dogs and 3.4 million are cats. When they find a stray they let it live in a box for three days before they euthanize them, 2.9 million of them are euthanized every year, 1.2 million dogs and 1.4 million cats. This reveals how much people don't care about animals enough, which is why we (Emma, Tony, and Vivian) will volunteer at an animal shelter to help take care of unwanted animals that are living without a family all lonely in a cage where they sleep just imagine you've been living in a box for 72 hours everyday hoping someone comes in and picks them just to be put down later that day.
Lately, Raymondville has had an increase of strays, mostly dogs that roam around from house to house. It used to be just out of town where people would leave or dump their dogs, puppies, old dogs, and pregnant female dogs. It’s unfortunate that some owners feel they cannot provide, or find, pets a new home, and thus throw them away. Right now, there is nothing being done to the irresponsible owners and the abandoned dogs. The local dog catcher can only hold up to 8 dogs which are given 3 days to be claimed or they will be put down to make room for other dogs. The local veterinarian, Dr. Pickard, passed away 3 years ago. He was the number one guy the locals would turn to for vaccinations and general surgeries. Now residents must go to Harlingen or farther to get their pets vaccinated and taken care of. That being said, it would help to have a local animal shelter or the cooperation of
E-commerce or Electronic Commerce has become a part of our everyday lives. The growth of World Wide Web is growing, more and more each day. Businesses practically live on the web. E-commerce growth has provided consumers with many different retail choices making the lives easier for the online community. Although, this makes things easier for consumers who shop online, most of these companies have chosen
Electronic commerce has become a part of everyday lives. Many retail choices available through the Internet, which can save time, effort, and provide a greater selection. Electronic retailers (e tailers) realize this has become an increasingly competitive environment. These retailers must not only find new customers but also retain the existing customers. As with any retail-company, business research is vital for their existence. E-tailers must understand customer behaviors to serve their customers and help understand the decision process customers go through prior to making a purchase.
Did you know that there are about 70 million homeless animals living in the United States? (“12 Alarming”) The Humane societies around the world are an important part of every community that supplies homeless animals with a place to sleep and obtain food; it is also the opportunity for a new way of life. You can help make a difference in these pet’s lives by volunteering at the local Oshkosh Area Humane Society. During my freshman year of high school, my family decided to visit a pet shelter where I met my best friend and passion. I walked in to see a small, short, brown eyed, curly haired, and crooked tongued shih-tzu poodle who is the sweetest thing; I also found my love for animals which is why I now volunteer at the Washington County Humane Society every summer. I would like to share with you why there is such a need for volunteers in shelters and how your efforts will make a difference.
In today’s world, almost everybody has a pet, we depend on them to give us comfort, love and care, vice versa but while we show our utmost affection to our pets, there are other pets in this world that get neglected and treated bad. About 3 million pets get euthanized each year because no one is able to adopt them. According to an article written on dallas news by Sarah Mervosh, she states “DAS (Dallas Animal Shelter) has successfully reduced euthanasia, despite being underfunded compared with other cities. About 60 percent of dogs get out of the shelter alive today -- up from 30 percent five years ago. Still, nearly 70 percent of the 8,500 or so dogs euthanized in Dallas last year were assessed as "treatable," meaning they were more adoptable than dogs with major health problems.” The number of euthanasia has gone down but our goal is to completely get rid of the concept of euthanizing pets since we believe that euthanization is a cruel thing to do and pets who are innocent and do not deserve this shouldn't be going through all of this that is why we at petco are taking matters into our own hands. Our initiative is to help underfunded animal shelters in the DFW metroPlex have better resources so that they can provide good care to pets that enter animal shelters each year. We are targeting four animal shelters that need our attention. Our goal is to bring in funds and other resources to animal shelters in need of support. To fulfill our dream of getting rid of any signs of
Consumers have started believing in e-commerce because they can shop things without having to compromise on their comfort zone. They can order their favorite candy or their favorite shirt online, without going outside in the comfort of their bedroom. This can be very useful when it comes to comparing things and various brands. E-commerce has been a total revelation for both the businesses and consumers. It is because of this e-commerce that many companies have started their business, and they can offer their services. The
Traditionally the retail industry has been understood as a connecting factor between manufacturers or wholesalers and consumers through conveniently located and easy accessible market places (AGPC 2011). However, the rapid advancements in technology, and specifically the evolution of the internet and e-commerce and online retailing has eliminated the physical requirement for a ‘meeting place’, providing consumers with the same end result, but now with increased efficiency and from the convenience of their own home. E-commerce is simply understood as a process of electronic transactions enabled by the exchange of, and payment for, goods and services between businesses,
