Searing hot. Ear splitting. Terrorizing. These are only a few words to describe what’s happening right now. Missiles are dropping from the sky. Rubble is that’s left of the town. How I’m still alive? I have no idea. Neither my friends nor family are anywhere to be found.”help me! Please!” yelled a young mother holding her 1 year old baby. Walking towards her I could see she had blood oozing out of her leg at a rapid pace. “Please, I don’t have much time left. Will you take my baby to the rescue ships at the White House?” she asked me.
Knowing I couldn’t let me rephrase I wouldn’t say no I took her out of her mother's weakening arms. “Don’t worry. I’ll make sure she will be safe.” I answered before jogging down the street to the White House. …show more content…

The entire time we ate we talked about everything. I now know every single detail of her life. Her favorite color is blue. She has 7 brothers and 2 dogs. She broke her eldest brothers arm wrestling. Even the time when she got a paper cut when she was doing a school project. I also told her everything about me too.
“What time is it?” I asked Ellie. Looking down at her watch she told me it was nearly 9 o'clock in the evening. “Wow we’ve been talking for awhile. Maybe we should head to bed.” While bobbing her head up and down, we got up and made our way to our rooms. After we said goodnight I plopped down in bed and fell asleep almost instantly.
The following day, I woke up to a very weird sound. Birds chirping. Yes I know that it isn’t a weird way to be woken up, but considering we’re on Mars it’s kind of creepy. As I walked over to the window I noticed it was certainly brighter in the room than usual. Looking out of the window I saw tiny, green swords of grass magically popped up overnight and oak, spruce, birch, maple, pine, ash, akasia, fur, and so on sprouted and grew multiple feet.
