Appropriate settings, materials, experiences have great impact on effectiveness of early literacy instructions. Social support encourages early forms of reading and writing which develop into conventional literacy. Children’s early reading and writing learning are part of the developing oral communication system. The early literacy relationships between reading and writing are situated in a broader communication network of speaking and listening that work together to help the learner live the world experientially. Young children learn about reading by writing and vice-versa or even oral language to help them learn about both.
