On January twelfth 2010, a deadly earthquake with a magnitude of 7.0 hit the coast of Port au prince, Haiti for 35 seconds, killing around 200,000 and leaving approximately to 1.5 million of the population homeless including kids who became orphans and vice versa in a matter of less than a minute. Before the earthquake, the way of life was not as bad as portrayed back at home, most of the news broadcasted in the mainstream media were exaggerated news, negative light and unfair tales to make Haiti look inferior.
NEW YORK—Starkies-Davis announced today a total donation of $8 million to organizations providing direct help to victims of the earthquake in Haiti. Starkies-Davis clients generated $6 million through global trading commissions
All funds raised at this event will go towards providing financial assistance for essential mobility equipment
Hello everyone! my friend Gabby Aranda along with a small group of us have created a gofundme to raise money to start up a non-profit organization to help women who are in need of health care. After creating the non-profit, which will be called For All Women, we are focusing on raising money for a clinic in Madison called Share the Health which is open about once per month and is a free women's clinic where physicians and residents volunteer their time to treat underprivileged women. Our overall goal is to allow the clinic to be open more often and therefore help more people in need. Click the link to read more about our plans and consider donating! Thanks so much!
I'm raising money for an underfunded K-8 charter school in Philadelphia called the Cornerstone Christian Academy, and I'd like to invite you to join me in my efforts. Cornerstone provides a safe and nurturing learning environment for students who often come from low income, at risk neighborhoods. It is an organization that I think really deserves our support. If you would like to donate to the students of Cornerstone or simply want to learn more about the cause, click the link listed below to see my fundraising page on the Cornerstone Christian Academy website. The smallest of donations can make a huge

We felt there was a huge urgency to help then and in the future. We started to act on the matter along with help from our fellow peers in the Honors College at North Campus in order to help those affected by Hurricane Irma. We are in the process of collecting items such as non perishable foods, clothing, textbooks, diapers, etc.. In addition, we are planning to create an encouraging video with the students and staff in the Honors College at North Campus to express kindness, love, hope, and encouragement. We want to send a warm and impactful message from
We at Saint Mary’s are very fortunate among the Memphis community. We go to a great school, have nicer homes, and overall stability in our lives. Not all Memphians, much less kids in Memphis, are nearly as lucky as we are. The need for the Community Fund is to create a bridge from us to those less fortunate than we are. We have time and funds, so helping other children is a necessity. Creating a world, or a better Greater Memphis Community, where all children can have the opportunity to thrive and have the chances we do is the goal. We need the Community Fund, so we can spread the blessings we are given because it is only fair we try to help others to the best of our ability.
Purpose: The key aspect of serving others from the effects of Hurricane Matthew will allow families who have no home to be provided with food and water. According to authorities flooding in North Carolina from Hurricane Matthew has caused $1.5 billion in damage to 100,000 homes, businesses and government buildings, authorities estimate. To elaborate more many people are seeking to help North Carolina recover, so I would like to make a website for donations and get WECT news to present it on commercials. Also, people who donate we will ask for their email and we will send each one a personal thank you letter. This service of serving others will allow people like the Red Cross to focus on more
I’m writing this memo because I believe the best way to donate one billion dollars is to fund the construction of a science and technology museum in the Detroit inner city. This museum will not only provide a safe learning environment but also foster a passion for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) in disadvantaged students. This museum will feature a program that will fund student research and products. This museum will create a safe place for students to study and learn about STEM, that is why I am placing it near Northwestern High School in Detroit. I will evaluate success using test scores from Northwestern because students in this district have very little access to academic resources. I will be donating this money for 3 main reasons:
We came up with that number after drawing out the house using a program called autoCAD. Using the drawings, my associates and I counted and added up each and every supply we would need in order to build the house. I did add an extra $200 to that total for human error, for a volunteer could accidently cut a board into the wrong length. To earn this money in order to build these houses is the tricky part of our operation. Since our organization is rather new, not many people know about us and what we strive for. To do this we could create social media pages, such as, but not limited to, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. We’d talk to schools and churches to see if they are willing to spread the word and hold fundraisers for us. Then we’d also hold our own fundraisers. We will hold bake sales, organize car washes, and even see if any local bands are willing to hold a concert and have all proceeds go to our organization. Then we’d also put out ads in the newspaper, internet websites, and on the television. Then we’d start building houses for people in Haiti. We’d post pictures of the construction and finished products on our social media. Once people see we are legit, then they may be more willing to make donations. But CFC is still a new group, so it will take a lot of convincing to get others to trust this new, young, blood. There will be many questions, many people will be suspicious and doubt our motives. Let me put your minds
