Healthy Lifestyle The reason why I chose to write this essay about healthy lifestyle is simple. I wanted to learn the benefits, disadvantages and consequences of eating healthy have in our lives. This is a very significant issue, considering that a very high percentage of the population in the United States is obese or overweight. It has been proven that several health risks are caused by being overweight, such as heart diseases, high blood pressure and diabetes. Unfortunately, thousands of lives are being lost every year because of weight related diseases. Having said that, I determined to start my research paper asking the following question: Does the pleasure of freely eating, pays off the price of a healthy life in the future? As I had no deep knowledge in the subject before starting my research, I decided to familiarize myself a little more by watching a video on YouTube. On the engine search I typed in: A Doctor’s perspective about eating healthy, and chose Dr. Joel Fuhrman: 3 Steps to incredible health – Eating healthy to achieve a great Vital Life. In my opinion, this was a trustable source because the content was presented by a Board certified Physician in practice for over twenty years. This documentary focused mainly on comparing the health of people living in remote areas and cultivates their own food, free of pesticides and conservatives, with others that mostly eat processed food, without the micronutrients our body needs.
