Edmund hurried down the dock to see if Sis was there. He ran as fast as he could, determined to find Sis. He got in front of Sunrise, and heard a familiar voice. He couldn’t quite figure out what the voice was saying.
The door was locked to get in. Edmund pushed with all his might, but could not get it open. He backed up, ran up to the door, and body slammed it. That worked.
Edmund saw the most horrifying image. Ratchet and Peterson had Sis tied up and at gunpoint. Edmund didn’t know what to do except stand there with his mouth open.
“Tell me where the gold is!” Peterson said, waving his gun at Aunty.
“I won’t tell you,” Aunty said, trying to get out of the ropes.
“HEEEEELLLLPPPPP!” Sis screamed.
“Silence!” Ratchet demanded. “One more peep out of you

Throck.”
“I’m Mr. Poe.”
“Pru!”
“Mary!” Aunty said. “Where have been?”
Edmund’s mom explained the whole story of where she was and how she found Edmund.
“Peterson,” Poe said, “I thought you were a better person than this. Why are you doing this?”
Peterson gave a glare to Poe and said, “you really want to know why I’m here? I’m here because this woman used to be my wife. Now that I found her again, I plan to kill her and Sis.” Peterson pulled the trigger.
“NO!” Poe said, jumping in front of Aunty and Sis. He was the one who got shot. Everyone in the room’s heart stopped. Edmund just saw one of the people he knew most get killed. This hurt him more than anyone else. He fell down to his knees and started to cry.
“Let me try this again,” Peterson said, pulling the trigger. His gun was out of bullets. “Dang gun is out of bullets. Ratchet, you try.”
Ratchet pulled back the trigger, but there were no bullets. The men had not thought this through. They looked at each other, then back at everyone else.
“Go. Go before I change my mind,” Ratchet said with embarrassment.
Edmund, Mary and Throck pulled the ropes from Pru and Sis, and rushed off.
When they got back to the apartment, Edmund found Poe’s notebook lying
And because of this, sweet little Edmund III is taken to court and has to prove his innocence! This causes him to go through a whirlwind of fun things like watching his attorneys
He let the pistol drop to the floor. All at once hands seized him and dragged him over backward
Edmund exploits Goneril and Regan’s emotions for his own benefit. The sister’s jealousy of each other allows him to distract Goneril and Regan as well as Albany from his true intentions. Edmund deliberates on which sister to choose, specifically the one that will be able to help him carry out his plan. If he chooses the widowed Regan it will infuriate Goneril, then again, he can’t have Goneril as long as Albany is alive. In the meantime, he devises a plan to use Albany to win the war with France and let the sisters worry about taking out Albany.
analysis: As Gloucester is calling to his son Edmund for help, Regan reveals that it was Edmund who betrayed him.
Inside the jail, Edmund almost loses hope and he think God forgot him. But it is not true. God gave justice to Edmund through the help of Abbi Faria. Edmund was free from the Chateau and began his revenge. His revenge was long that take almost three years
“ No longer does she tempt him with empty promises, but instead treats him like a slave.” (Lewis page 91) Edmund no longer wishes to be a part of her plan or on her side. Still being selfish Edmund is only concerned with the well being of himself. He just wants to get out of the sticky situation he is in. However he is no longer has intent on being evil but has not yet decided to be good. “Everything he had said to make himself believe that her side was really the right side sounded silly now” (Lewis page 110). His unconcern for others is changed when he sees the Witch turn a small group of animals into stone. He yells for the Witch to stop and the narrator says, “And Edmund, for the first time in this story felt sorry for someone else.”
Upon hearing this, Edmund presents himself as sympathetic and supportive towards Gloucester. After his father leaves, Edmund reveals to the reader his true intentions of betraying his father and taking his title. This abrupt transformation of attitude and objective is part of the theme of “Appearance vs Reality.” Although he appears to be loyal and innocent to Gloucester, the reality is that he is planning to overthrow Gloucester and is apathetic towards his
Edmund, the illegitimate son of Gloucester, had set a plan into motion to remove both his older brother, Edgar, and his father from the picture in order to receive inheritance that would have all been given to Edgar due to the birthright rules. Edmund tricked Edgar into being seen as an outlaw, and he was to be hunted down like wild game. Edgar had to disguise himself, risk dying, see the insane King, and watch his father die; however, Edgar decides to forgive his brother as Edmund lay dying, “Let’s exchange charity./ I am no less in blood than thou art, Edmund...” (V.3). Despite all Edgar was forced to endure just so Edmund could be happy for a few days, it is impressive that he forgave him at all. Edgar gave his brother a great compliment when he said that they were equal in blood, that was all Edmund had wanted.
Edmund enters Narnia through a wardrobe. He was playing hide and seek with his three siblings Peter, Susan, and Lucy. He decided to hide in the wardrobe and discovered the world of Narnia concealed within. Edmund meets the queen of Narnia while he is in the magical world. The queen has pale skin She meets him while she is riding in her phenomenal sledge pulled by two white, majestic reindeer. Driving the reindeer was a plump dwarf about three feet tall.
The dark and eerie tone of the murder story and its unusual setting contribute to the story’s theme of defense of one’s honor and avenging wrongdoing. The haughtiness and conceited attitudes of the two men create an extension of this theme in which Poe wants to show how far some men will go when they receive a blow to the ego. The story’s setting in the
I wouldn’t presume to understand why Edmund would be so distrusting in his siblings. Edmund constantly acts as though he is hiding something, he acts as though he cannot trust anyone. Even before Edmund meets the witch his is always acting shifty. This dishonesty Edmunds exhibits is one of his key personality traits the witch preys upon. She is almost immediately aware that she will be able to manipulate him easily. Unfortunately for Edmund and his family alike, this misplaced faith in the witch makes him follow her nearly blindly, it also leads me to believe he is capable of strong faith in something. If he would have not been left alone he wouldn’t have been led astray by the witch. He also would not have had this opportunity to learn a valuable
“The Poe Poe is gone,” he says, with a great sigh of relief. Pausing for a moment and shouting. “With the wind,” pleased they are gone, and thinking they must have caught a call, Freddie laughs, folding the paper and gently tucking it under his arm. Thinking about everything for a moment, he angrily shouts as he walks away “Damn fools, why don’t they go catch some real criminals?”
Most importantly, after the beavers tell the truth about Narnia, Edmund still chooses the side of the white witch. and he went to witch’s house to sell whereabouts of his siblings’. In the book the author wrote about the situation that the beavers have to move fast in order to avoid the army of the witch. This means in Edmund’s heart, Turkish delight is more important then his sisters and brothers. If he is Edmuch the just he will know that his siblings are more important, and clearly he does not know anything about
She got on her way, but as she was walking, Joshua Wilde yelled at her saying,
