My aunt and I wait in line for our turn to go in the Haunted Screamers. My aunt is brave and she looks excited. Meanwhile, I’m scared, not quite sure what to expect, based on other’s opinions. It’s our turn to go in, we slowly walk our way inside. It starts off with skeletons and blood, so far not that scary. As we walk further in, it becomes pitch black and misty, we’re unable to see anything. I am holding my aunt’s sweater as tightly as I can. There goes the jumpscare, my aunt jumps, screaming, using me as a human shield. Tears spring out of her eyes while I’m laughing. This is who I consider to be my inspiration. People, myself included, often wonder what success is in terms of a career. Usually, students predict how they will accomplish their goals and want to feel what it would be like to be successful in a career. It goes without saying that it definitely involves a lot of hard work and sacrificing some important aspects in one’s life, such as sleep to achieve what we want. I believe education plays a huge part of that because it will help us realize our potential. The importance of education is derived from overcoming our personal obstacles, reaching the goals we set and thriving for success. Academic success is a key factor in the way one lives their life, and is easily relatable to everyone. Society preaches the importance of obtaining an adequate amount of education beginning at a very young age. We are constantly reminded of how a strong educational background
Gladwell being raised in Canada portrays the advantages and disadvantages among the KIPP program. The KIPP school is located in a very poor neighborhoods in New York City. SLLANT is a protocol that shows that their education should be taken seriously. They are currently improving the academic aspects among the low income students. The time, effort, hard work and dedication into their education is highly emphasized by the teachers. In contrast, Dweck, believes that students can reach success by the involvement of their parents in their child’s education
Education has always been an important aspect of my life. Although there have been trials and tribulations I have surmounted them. My story is not one of a privileged life not wanting or wishing for anything. Instead it is a dream, a dream to be able to fulfill what is my destiny. On December 14, 2005 I will have my associate's degree; it has been a long time coming, and it is finally here. I have managed to maintain full time work to support myself and my family while attending to school to accomplish one of my life long dreams.
Being a successful student is more than just being committed to what you do, it is also about being consistent with the work you perform, always keep the same drive to perform well and to never give up. Academic success in elementary, middle and high school leads the students to a
Academics are one of the most important aspects of a life. With good grades, students are able to get into colleges and
It’s no secret that education is the primary foundation for genuine success in life. Therefore, it’s imperative for us to ameliorate our nation’s education system as much as possible for the future generations. For the most part, up until this point, most Americans who have pursued an education have done so through private means. I am by no means saying that free schooling in America today is non-existent, but it’s evident that the education provided by these institutions is inadequate due to a lack of trained professionals. Therefore, we must sedulously work towards fabricating a greatly needed public education system in our beloved nation. The challenges that America has faced
College seems to be a constant battle for students to do well in classes and remain above water. It is as if students are attempting to figure out what mixture of coffee, sleep, and studying makes for a perfect college student. With so much pressure being put into getting a degree and going into professional schools after college, it would be a helpful tool for students to know what makes an individual more successful academically than the next. Resent research by Ackerman and Heggestad (1997) has suggested that individual differences such as personality and motivation can be used to explain not only variance in academic performance, but also the process by which traits influence examination scores. Motivation is a composed of four main components including academic self-efficacy, attributions, intrinsic motivation, and achievement goals (Pintrich, 2002). O’Neil, Goffin, and Gellatly (2010) have found that when test taking motivation is high students tend to perform better on exams increasing the rate of academic success.
Many people wonder about the factors that play a vital role in the Academic Achievement of a Person, come to think of it there are quite a few factors that are essential for an academically successful life, they can be Parental Influence, Student motivation, Peer Effect, the geographical location or health, all of the above-mentioned factors can be crucial in a student academic life, but we may say that Parental Influence and Student Motivation are the most important ones. Adolescence is the time in which a child is going through the period of growth, this is the time when parental influence is all that matters because whatever the child sees or hears is going to shape his way of thinking, continuous support from parents play a pivotal role in academic achievement.
Success is different from one person to another. Most people earn their success through hard work and dedication in order to achieve success. Before I began to do research on student success my assumptions were that several students only worried about themselves and their education and that other people or schools did not push them to do better in school. Also before I began to do research, another assumption of mine about student success was that education was similar around the whole world. The type of research that was conducted to find ways of education and student success was done by reading several articles and watching a documentary. Anaheim schools can improve student success by having fewer summer vacations and having longer school hours. Another way that Anaheim schools can improve student success is by having a growth mindset so they can know how much effort they put on there work when facing challenges. Finally the last way to improve student success at Anaheim schools is by requiring students to take extracurricular activities after school like joining a sport, dance, any school clubs, band and more. But several students believe that researchers misunderstand other students when it comes to being successful.
Ask yourself this question: why did we choose to go to school? Many says education is a good way for achieving your dreams and becoming successful. Some educators say that acquiring an education is a good plan to earn more money. Most says we go to school to learn new things and to have good morals. In his article, Mr. Manali Oak talk about why education is so important, "Education provides us with knowledge about the world. It paves the way for a good career. It helps build character. It leads to enlightenment. It lays the foundation of a stronger nation. Education makes a man complete. Kautilya, an Indian philosopher, royal adviser, and professor of economics and political science very rightly underlined the importance of education, some 2000 years ago. He has highlighted the fact that education enriches people's understanding of themselves. He has said that education is an investment in human capital, and it can have a great impact on a nation's growth and development."
Everyone can be successful in life but it requires some responsibilities. Success doesn’t happen right away, so it takes time and patience’s for things to fall into place. To have a successful life you must work hard to get where you want to be, it can’t just be handed to you for free. One thing is to never give up on your goals or dreams you want to achieve. When you accomplish great things in life it feels great. A successful student needs to use self-discipline and making wise decisions.
Why it is Important to Further a person education and build a career to make a better life.
What truly makes a person successful? Is it the hard work and dedication that they put into being who they have become? Is it the education that they receive from going to school or did somebody help them get the job that they received. Even though education and expectations are important environment is the most important.
What is considered to have the key to success? Quoted by Charlie White “The most important thing is being passionate about what you 're doing and always give it your all. That is the key to success.” All students have had the over whelming amount of stress to be successful. Stressing to get the perfect score on a major grade or finding the determination to do a challenging assignment. We wonder if all of our routines and tips used for school work actually guarantee our success as a student. As it may only help somewhat and not give us the result we desire. Our mindset and amount of work provided guarantees our success. Being successful as a student requires determination, preparing for situations you will encounter as a student, and stopping procrastination in its tracks.
“I don’t know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everyone” (Cosby). Giving up is like going from walking to now using a wheelchair. When I was a child, I wanted to find my purpose as being an adult. Now that I am older the missing pieces to my puzzle are starting to come together. I once gave up on life. I was a high school dropout with no education. What inspired me to go back to school to receive my GED/Diploma was when I realized that I could not be successful in life without an education. The reason I dropped out of high school was due to me hanging around the wrong crowd of friends. The type of friends I hung around did not want anything out of life. None of them wanted to be successful. We did
Famous band Pink Floyd released their song, “Another Brick in the Wall pt. 2” over 20 years ago, but the words “We don’t need no education” (Waters, “The Wall”) still ring throughout the heads of many. Contrary to the widespread popularity of this song, the common consensus is that an education is a necessity in the 21st century. In the Enlightenment era, as philosophers wrote their ideas that the country would be based on, they instructed people on the best way to educate.
