Despite how marvelous the education system of the United States comparing to other countries, it still needs more improvement. Most of the Americans who born here never realize how lucky they are, having advanced curriculums that are up to date should make the students eager to learn and develop themselves. On the contrary of these facts we have a large number of students that are just finished their high school diploma and have no idea what are they doing with their education or even what are they interested in and how to pursue it.
Being a foreigner who is studying in the United States makes me able to compare the education system in the United States and another country and how the students and the teachers react with it. One of the things

This process should be done in high school, and this is the responsibility of the teachers to guide the students towards their passion not just give them the prober education and let them decide what they want. Schools should have a class that is just designed to introduce their students to the real world by analyzing their grands and ask question about their interests and hobbies and try to put them on the right track. One class can change their life and save time and …show more content…
Some of the materials being used in the classes are not in a proper way to be introduced, and some are not being used in the practical life application and useless which irritate me sometimes, and some of the professors realize this problem, but have to teach it as the system requires it. That should be that case, every student have the right to study practical life applications and materials from the real world to help them understand their field of study. The goal of being in college is to prepare the students to work and that never happen just by
America used to thrive on its education system and that is why it became one of the greatest nations in the world. Education is the backbone of our country, and we must give high priority to improve its current condition. Unfortunately, in the past couple of decades, the education system has been regressing. It has been on the decline and not as effective. The quality of education in a country has an influence on GDP growth, social cohesion and social well being in general. In order to improve the quality of education in the U.S., the following must be taken into consideration: the structure of our education system must be reanalyzed, we must compare and contrast our education system to systems of other countries with higher rankings, and finally, there must be a solution.
What is it that’s making our country suffer from excelling in education? Very few would argue about the importance of our education system today. Issues such as lazy teachers, lack of parent involvement, and teaching useless information in class may hinder progress in today’s education system. An education plays a crucial role and is an essential tool, unfortunately, with all the jaded judgments; our students are not able to value their education. A proper education can open the doors to many opportunities that would have never been possible if it had not been for the knowledge and preparation that one received while in school. With the growing economy and desperate times, it is more important than ever for our country’s children to receive the proper education and training that is needed to allow them to acquire a good job and produce the revenue needed to live. Today's education system is flawed in many ways, and these flaws should be eliminated to ensure a good education for our future generation.
Each country has its own kind of education, and education always plays an important role in affecting students’ life and study on many aspects. Having received ten years of education in China and two years of education in the U.S. I would like to compare and contrast a few significant aspects of these two different kinds of educations. Knowing that no two education systems are the same, the differences between American education and Chinese education allow countries to take the essence and discard the dross through learning from each other so as to improve their own current education systems.
As of late, there has been major contention about the standards of American education, one of the major points being the cost to obtain a degree. Current societal standards have condition people to aim for a prestigious degree that will help make it 's holder successful. Of course, society defines success, for an individual, as being highly intelligent, outgoing, wealthy, and family-oriented. Yet, many American citizens are still stuck trying to meet the first item in the success definition. If a person refuses to attend post-secondary school in fear that the certificate of completion will offer no return on investment, or decides to quit due to financial hardships, then how can society uphold its expectation of that person 's success? Much work needs to be done to assuage the fear of a wasted investment, to motivate an individual to continue attending school despite financial difficulties, and to help individuals achieve the expected level of success that comes from higher education.
Despite the United States being one of the most powerful, wealthy countries in the world, the US education system does not even rank in the top ten educational systems in the world. The country has a graduation rate of 80%, yet students still are not prepared for the future. Schools in the United States have become a place for nothing but learning how to memorize facts, take tests, and does not focus on preparing students for their futures. The US educational system is limiting students, it needs to be more suited to the individual student’s interests and begin to focus on actual learning.
students have been taught that if you want to be successful in life you must
Americans’ education level lead them to give up these kind of jobs because they judge these harsh works as unworthy and underserved. Generally, Americans receive better and longer education than other immigrants. The federal government established a perfect education system for every child, which they are required to attend school from age six to eighteen, and the government pays the tuitions for students in public schools. Compare with american citizens, immigrants, especially illegal immigrants, have relatively lower education level. For example, Juan Castro came to the United States illegally at the age of fifteen, when american students enjoy their high school lives, and started his career as a labor (117). It comes as no surprise that
Education in the United States is a very crucial part of a person’s life. Going to school opens doors and facilitates the pathway for future individual achievement and economic success. Formal education is a conscious effort by human society to convey the skills and modes of thought considered essential for social functioning.
Here in America every single child is sent to school starting at the age of five years old for kindergarten, and sometimes as early as two years old for pre-school and continue on to get an education late into their twenties, some even going on to take classes the rest of their lives. Education in America is something that is readily available and even is required by law, but taken for granted by many children. On flip side third world countries often do not have schools or public education mandated by government, and most times it is not even available when most children yearn for it. Education is taken for granted in America, and in third world countries where education is almost completely absent something can be learned from their
“We, the American people, are not our own enemies . . .”, these words of Republican Candidate, Ben Carson, describe perfectly what America needs. We, as Americans, are killing ourselves one step at a time. Whether it be with safety or the lacking of education, America needs to understands where it's going and what key elements we need to fix it which includes increased safety, expanded healthcare, and a more influential education to thrive and become the nation we yearn for.
For the past handful of years America has had its fair share of problems- terrorist attacks, global warming, horrendous mass shootings, twerking, and so on. Most recently, however, angry strikes from frustrated, underpaid citizens have been in the headlines. Surprisingly, it was found that most of these demonstrators were teachers: angry with the government and the economical approach that was taken to “improve” fiscal issues. Within the United States, this approach was called the Deficit Reduction Plan (DRP). This solution imposed lowering debt by reducing spending and raising taxes. In 2009, US deficit was at an all time high, peaking almost $1.4 trillion. Since deficit reductions have not worked in the past, many individuals and
This work has the purpose to show the education of a country such as the right of the citizen. So that should be offered by the government of each country. So that every child has the opportunity to succeed in life. Furthermore, shows that was fought in the years 1850's against of segregation in schools. Nevertheless, the reality as that continues to exist today.
American higher education has been evolving from a traditional liberal arts education to a more consumer-driver education that we now know as general education. I enjoyed reading the differing views on liberal and general education and was mostly encouraged by my choice to pursue my general education degree. A college education should not only educate students but also equip them for life after college. In my opinion it’s wiser to get a degree that’s versatile than to spend the time and money on a specialized degree and still not be marketable in today’s economy. My definition of general education is a broad yet focused education that provides knowledge and skills across a variety of disciplines, and serves as the foundation for personal and professional growth in today’s marketplace.
Education in America plays a tremendous role on our country and community. If you are a drop out of high school student, then you are not going to get the best paying job because of how competitive the workforce is now days. More and more people are beginning to become smarter and go to the best college of their choice. If they compare your application with another application with a college degree, they would obviously pick the college graduate. Education in America is the direction towards a successful job, life, and our countries future.
Educating girls has slowly become an issue across the globe. Many Americans are oblivious not only to what is going on outside of our nation, but often times, just outside of their own front door. For centuries women have been seen as inferior to men, a prime example being education. Unfortunately this continues to be a problem, one that we should understand and work towards a solving for a better tomorrow. In order to do this, we must know the facts, such as: the benefits of educating young women in third world countries, giving more opportunities for college to be a real possibility to all American women, and my personal experience with the benefits of all-female education.
