Since each child can have their own sign in account they can continue increasing their knowledge on a determined task like early reading, phonological awareness, book comprehension and pick up the lesson wherever they left it (ABC Mouse, 2014).

This school is a title one school serving more than 400 students. Out of this student population, 85% of students are economically disadvantaged. The school also serves students with disabilities (31%) and English language learners (6%). The dominating ethnicities are Black or African American (51%) and Hispanic or Latino (40%). This is an ICT fourth grade classroom with around 25 students between the ages of eight through ten. There are two teachers in the classroom, one specializes in special-education and the other in elementary-education. The students learn best through logical/mathematical, verbal/linguistic, bodily/kinesthetic, and interpersonal activities. Most of the students in the classroom are visual learners. Therefore, organizers, timelines, and artistic activities benefit their learning the best.
MFTS is in close proximity to Enchanted Distant Shrub CBD; with significant access to wireless internet. The school is located in an affluent area; hence most students are from families with high socio-economic statuses. However, the school’s technology is a little outdated. While it has an Interactive Whiteboard (IWB) in each classroom; there are only two small computer labs, which do not allow for 1-1 computing. The school has one class set (26) of iPads to share. To enable students’ development of 21st century skills and adhere to the QTM (NSW DET 2003), the school wants to extend their technology use, and aims to find out more about BYOD programs.
Our objective for this assignment was to visit the following websites: amazon.com, barnesandnoble.com, and christianbook.com. We are to report on the similarities, differences, and which site where we are most likely to purchase and book and explain why.
Receiving an education via an online course is one that has begun with many challenges. I have come from having no knowledge of researching information to feel like I have journeyed a long way finding the confidence to research pertinent and quality resources. Through this particular unit I have been given the implements to develop a sound knowledge of online group collaborations and the programs to allow the communication to take place.
