This was considered the restaurant’s main target market. So from this point of view Penticton is a nice place for restaurant business. Edward’s restaurant was designed to satisfy old generation, it had appropriate design and atmosphere inside the restaurant to attract most of the Penticton population. However population was too small for the number of restaurants in the city. Level of tourism was declining after 1991 because prices went up due to tax increases and demand for accommodation and related services in Penticton had declined in 1994.
