The research will adopt a survey research design to find out the effects of inventroy management on the organizational performance. The target population will consist a total of 30 employees all from the three organizations. The population will consist heads of departments, employees in the stores section and the operations and maintenance team. A census will be used, i.e all the 30 targeted employees who are directly involved in procurement matters in the organizations will participate. The researcher will opt for purposive sampling techniques. Through purposive sampling, it will ensure that only useful respondents are only used – those who deal directly with procurement. The instruments that will be used will be questionnaire. The questionnaire will be designed through consultation with research supervisor. The instrument will be tested for their reliability using the test-retest method; the instrument will be piloted in Mumias water supply which will not be used in the study. Descriptive statistics will be used to analyze data. Descriptive statistics will entail use of frequencies and percentages. Presentation of analyzed data will be in form of tables, charts and graphs which will facilitate easy understanding and interpretation of the results.
