Background
The Communications Department has been working diligently with all BOLDFlash departments to implement the new “communication culture”. This new initiative is aimed at improving our ability to communicate effectively with our distributors, customers, suppliers, and all team mates at BOLDFlash. Our goal is to create an environment where effective communication techniques are known, understood, and utilized by all employees. This training plan addresses key areas of focus for creating the communications culture. The goal of this plan is to create effective training for the Mobile Division management team.
Target Audience
Since the underlying communication issue is related to internal business processes, the target audience is limited to employees at BOLDFlash. Due to rapid expansion of the Mobile Division, the demographics of employees have changed greatly over the past few years. Increased hiring and expansion into foreign countries has changed the way we need to communicate. This is especially true in regard to considerations of language, culture, age, and experience. Training will be designed and conducted based on the position level of the employee.

In conclusion, as a leader I understand the importance of maintaining the element of surprise and gaining a competitive advantage versus the competition, however, as a former frontline representative, I also intimately understand how challenging it can be to deliver an exceptional experience to a customer when you are struggling to answer their question. Therefore, I frequently implore our senior leadership to provide as much lead time for training as possible and educate frontline employees regarding why the period between training and launch is so compressed and the importance of not sharing proprietary information regarding the training via social media or the internet. Additionally, as an organization, we are constantly searching for ways to enhance the speed and quality of our training and communications to improve organizational overall agility (Groysberg & Slind,

In conclusion, managing communication in the organisation is important so as to perform basic functions. Managers should be effective communicators with high levels of fluency and professionalism and must be aware of the communication cycle to achieve team goals. Effective communication within the workplace like in the company’s technical office keeps the team involved in the delivery of customer focus which increases commitment to the organisation and make for a better relationship and understanding within the team. An effective communicator understands the communication process using the appropriate communication channel such as verbal, non-verbal or written communication. The correct use of the process helps to uncover barriers and determine effective preventive steps to avoid those barriers. Furthermore, within the communication cycle, it is essential to get regular feedback, which also helps evaluate and improve the communication process which in turn can be used as a basis to develop personal development plans, identify communication strength and weaknesses
