Global Warming
Global warming is an increase in the temperature of the earth's weather. Global warming is also known as the green house effect. Global warming is a very serious world issue. Most humans are trying to do as much as they can to help stop global warming. Global warming has caused many problems to the earth in addition to the humans that live here on the earth. A problem caused by global warming is very hot summers. Some summers have had days that the temperature had reached 30*C. Another Problem that global warming has caused is the melting of polar ice caps. Global warming caused the polar ice caps to melt which will cause the ice to break free as well as melt in the sea, sea levels all over the world will rise. Lastly,

On days when it was too hot for the kids to go out their parents would tell them to stay inside the house. When the kids have to stay inside the house the parents usually want it to stay quiet. So the kids would probably sit on the computer, got to sleep otherwise watch TV. This affected the kid’s daily physical activity. To help stop global warming everyone should drive less take bikes, walk or carpool whenever possible otherwise you could buy hybrid cars. On behalf of those who don’t know what carpooling is it is driving with someone to a place that you are both going to.
Second of all, global warming has caused the ozone layer to start to break. The ozone layer is a layer that absorbs the rays of the sun. There is a very big hole in the ozone layer. The breaking of the ozone layer has caused the suns rays to come down at the humans very sharp. The hole in the ozone layer lets the UV enter the atmosphere; it can cause skin cancer, general cancer in addition to many more diseases to humans. There’s a list of things humans can do to help reduce global warming including; plant a tree, carpool, take a shower instead of a bath, use less hot water, use less hot water there is a lot more to this list.
Last but not least, global warming has caused the polar ice caps to melt. The melting of the polar ice caps will cause the sea levels to rise all over the world. If the sea levels rise just a metre
Global warming is a phenomenon that has amazed and frightened everyone ever since it came into being. The consequences and end results of global warming is what goes on to alarm and frighten everyone on earth. If looked at it literally, global warming is basically in increase in the temperature of the Earth's atmosphere. This change and elevation has been occurring ever since the 19th century and is known to increase even more. The change in the global temperature is dangerous because it goes onto increase the sea levels and alterations precipitation, melting of glacier and possible risks of floods around the world. Global warming can even cause a spread of the deserts (Lu, Vecchi and Reichler 6)
The world has many years existing in this galaxy and every day we see that is changing more and more but not in a very good way that it can end in the extinction of the planet earth. “Earth Hasn’t Heated Up This Fast Since the Dinosaurs’ End” (Lavelle). Carbon is growing so fast in the atmosphere faster than in the past 66 million years since the dinosaurs went extinct (Lavelle). All the presidents hold a position of power that could change this big problem that the planet is having, behind this problem there is other problems that are causing a much bigger problem in all the country. “By year 2100, the average temperature will rise by 5.8 degrees as a result of global warming. The Arctic ice is melting rapidly. By 2040 the region is expected to have a completely ice-free summer, or even earlier. Since 1880, the average temperature has risen by 1.4-Fahrenheit degrees” (Rinkesh). Humans are the one in power of this planet, they are often making some decisions, but they do not know if that is going to hurt the planet. Also, is because humans are selfish. These decisions often include manipulating the system of other country, how they work, what products they can make, how to get benefit from that country, and etc. Also, taking control and/ or credit over other countries work. Some countries are taking very serious the Global Warming problem, so the other countries want a prove of how are they helping to fix this problem. Many countries have agreements with other countries that
The 19th as well as the 20th century have been the most prolific time periods in modern history as concerns science, technology and socio-economic development. Within these two centuries we witnessed the discovery of electricity, the invention of the engine which played a very important role in the maturity of the well-known industrial revolution. Through this revolution people began to live in a more decent and comfortable manner; new commodities were produced and entire new kinds of industry were developed. Although all these inventions, discoveries and scientific breakthroughs improved in an outstanding way our well-being, they also provided us with some troubles that scientists had never foreseen or even imagined.
This article critically examines the ways in which individuals could help reduce the impacts of global warming. The author challenges that every individual could significantly minimise the effects of global warming by adopting to a more responsible lifestyle.
First off, polar sea ice is melting. Polar bears, walrus, penguins and seals are all affected by this because none of them can breath underwater and all need resting ice. When it is not there, they have to swim distances that are impossible for them to make it that far so some will drown. In the article, “The Down-to-Earth Guide to Global Warming” states, “polar bears are forced to swim longer distances to find their prey. Sometimes on their journeys, the bear tire and drown.” Next, there will be a dramatic rise in the sea level. This can cause flooding which will critically impact people who live on coasts. Many houses will be destroyed and it will cost people lots of money to rebuild them. As the article “Global Warming Effects and Causes: A Top 10 List” states, “many nations around the world will experience the effects of rising sea levels, which could displace millions of people. One nation, the Maldives, is already looking for a new home, thanks to rising sea levels.” Many houses will be filled with water as people evacuate the city. Lastly, the temperature will rise which means more hurricanes and extreme storms.Massive hurricanes have took many lives in the past and there will be a enormous increase of the chance of that happening in the future because of global warming. Scientists say that wind speeds have been rising due to the warmer ocean which is making this huge storms happen. The author of “Global Warming Effects and Causes: A Top 10 List” wrote, “‘Scientists have come up with the firmest evidence so far that global warming will significantly increase the intensity of the most extreme storms worldwide. The maximum wind speeds of the strongest tropical cyclones have increased significantly since 1981, according to research published in Nature this week. And the upward trend, thought to be driven by rising ocean
Global warming is the gradual increase in temperature of the earth’s atmosphere. It is mostly caused by the increased levels of carbon dioxide and other pollutants. Recently, global warming has been rising and is negatively affecting people, animals, and the weather. It is negatively affecting people by increasing health problems such as, cancers, and respiratory problems. It’s causing animals to be put on the endangered list, or even extinct the species as a whole. And it’s affecting the weather by causing an increase in storms such as hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, etc. Global warming is a huge problem that people tend to ignore, and needs to be put to an end.
The issue with global warming has been mentioned in the past, but not necessarily taken seriously by many. Many people won’t take matters in their hands unless they are affected. Though the climate change isn’t as bad, it can cause health damage, such as skin cancer due to the rising temperatures, the spread of disease, and air pollution. Environmental Issue Expert Larry West, states that recycling, using less air conditioning, driving less, and simply conserving electricity are all beneficial in reducing global warming.
The first thing I want to start off with is telling you what global warming is and give you an idea of what it can do to our planet. Global warming increases temperature all around the world. It also put a lot more carbon dioxide in the air by us humans. Pollution of Carbon dioxide is one is the most common one and is mostly caused by running vehicles exhaust, burning of fossil fuels such as coal, and factory smoke.when we let carbon dioxide in the air it has nowhere to go except in our atmosphere. therefore is causes rising temperature to build up in our atmosphere over time slowly.
The Effects of Global Warming on Our Planet Global warming, professionally also called the climate change represents nowadays a critical global issue posing a serious potential threat. This simply means that the average temperature of our planet is slowly rising. This however is not due to the natural causes as it was in the past but due to people and their activities, which permit the so-called greenhouse gases to be emitted into the atmosphere. This has already taken its toll in terms of altering the weather and subsequently the conditions of the whole planet and might also have consequences for the future.
Imagine you are placed into the future. The year is 2100. You begin to live in this
The Effects of Global Warming The CO2 levels in the atmosphere are increasing faster and faster
The main gases that cause the greenhouse effect are water vapor, carbon dioxide (CO2), and methane, which comes mainly from animal manure. Other gases like nitrogen oxide and chloroflurocarbons, man made gases, get caught in the atmosphere as well. The decay of animals and respiration are two main natural sources of carbon dioxide. In my opinion, we the people of the world should try to slow down the emission of greenhouse gases and/or find ways to balance the gases so the climate doesn’t change so rapidly. If it did, we would be forced to adapt to the new climate that we brought upon ourselves. If we had an international cooperation to put a damper on the production of chloroflurocarbons and slowed down the use of fossil fuels it
Thursday, Trump made another life changing decision, to pull out of the Paris climate accord. He may have fulfilled a campaign promise but she just dampened the chances of decreasing global warming for everyone. He said he is willing to negotiate some parts of the plan which all but two nations have agreed upon. He criticized the act saying it wasn't fair for oversea American workers. He claimed that we deserved fair treatment and not to be laughed at. As of the moment their a world wide fig against this action. Even Ivan is fought for him to remain in the bill, but it was the conservatives that steered him in the other direction. When campaigning he claimed a slogan of "America first" which is what he says pushed him to make this
"The amount of heat accumulating on Earth because of human emissions is roughly equivalent the heat released by 400,000 Hiroshima bombs exploding around the world every day," (FactRetriever). The heat is a direct effect from global warming which is becoming more and more relevant in today's societies. There are a number of effects due to the one major cause of global warming, which is greenhouse emission, and those are: increased temperature, melting ice sheets, rising sea levels, increased power of hurricanes due to acidic oceans and surface temperature, and finally, air pollution which increases death rates globally. The quantity of greenhouse emissions in the atmosphere is intensifying due to human activities that burn fossil fuels which in turn is increasing the temperature on earth, causing the oceans to become acidic, and increasing the effects of air pollution.
What is global warming and what is it doing to our planet? One major problem today is global warming and how it will affect our future if we don’t do something but we can start today. Global warming (also known as climate change) is when there is a great increase in temperature. Some activity that can happen if we don’t do something is that sea levels will rise and the chance of coastal flooding will increase. There can also be more destructive hurricanes, more frequent and intense heat waves, greater risk of health, extreme weather like more snow, greater precipitation, more droughts, a decrease in the production of our food, melting ice which will lead to the increase in sea levels, and also the seasons could change. There are many things we can do to prevent this from happening, we just need to act fast.
