In the 41Q Personality Quiz, my personality is extremely extrovert, feeling based, judging, and sensing. In the 41Q quiz I shared personalities with Björk Guðmundsdóttir, Danny Glover, Dixie Carter, Jack Benny, Mary Tyler Moore, Nancy Kerrigan, Sally Field, Steve Spurrier, Terry Bradshaw, and William McKinley. My personality is professed as if I make decisions more on self-value and feeling, along with being organized, yet very outgoing with the outside world. My career suggestions are social workers, nursing, family care, counselors, office managers, or receptionists. I agree with social working such as therapy or counseling.

John L Holland Developed a test, producing three letter codes to describe types. Holland believed there were six basic traits that combined to make a person’s personality. The six traits are Conventional, Enterprising, Social, Realistic, Investigative, and Artistic. Three letter codes, derived form the first letter of each of the three highest related traits, are shown after the test is taken (Rayman, 2008). My personality type from this test was ACS, Artistic, Conventional, and Social (Rounds). Artistic was my highest score, and I think this is accurate. Currently I have an artistic social career goal in a collaborative art form. I think this will be a good fit based on this test. I can see evidence of my conventionality being fiscally conservative. Some careers that may be a good match are a teacher, program director, or social worker. These careers are exactly what I was thinking, but they would be a more practical application for someone with a high artistic trait.

Each type has unique gifts and talents that can be used in different occupations. ISFJ personalities are practical and motivated to provide for others in the careers that they choose. The ideal work environment for this personality type is to work alone on projects, work with known facts, use standard procedures, work in a friendly and relaxed environment. Careers that are suggested for someone with the ISFJ personality are interior decorators, nurses, administrators, managers, child care professionals, counselors, paralegals, religious workers, shopkeepers and office managers. Personally, I want to work in the Biotechnology field developing cures for sick children and adults. I would love to find the cure for cancer and lyme disease. If I can make a difference in someone’s life I will then be satisfied with what I do for a living.

Myers and Briggs created a personality test that not only will help people to figure out their personality types, but at the same time it aids in the discovery of which career pathways people should take based on their specific personality traits. Based on the personality trait INFP that was given to me from the Myer-Briggs test I have quite a few career pathways that fit my personality. Some of the career choices suited to my personality is a writer, counselor, teacher/professor, psychologist, psychiatrist, musician, or a religious worker; which seems like a pretty broad selection. Although there is a broad selection of careers that would suit my personality none of which are the career path that I have chosen; which is to become a physical therapist, but if I was not set on a goal some of these career ideas would not seem too bad. While reading the list of jobs suited for my personality I was surprised to see that psychologist was on the list because before I decided to go for physical therapy I wanted to pursue a career in that exact field. Writing isn't something that all people enjoy doing, but it is a rewarding career. Depending on what type of writing you are interested in, you won't find yourself talking to others too often, which is something a lot of people appreciate about this career.

Screenwriting about any genre you choose to write about could inspire people through words and teach people through images. You could live the life so many dream of; being able to make movies. Screenwriting although competitive has many unique features such as: it does not require multiple years of schooling, much training isn't needed and you can work from home. To become a screenwriter you need to be able to take criticism, you need to be good at time management, you need to be creative, hardworking and determined.

When someone is passionate about something, it becomes their talent or hobby. If they want to pursue that and make it more than a talent or specialty, they might make it their career. One talent that can easily be turned into a career is writing. There are a countless amount people who are passionate about writing and become authors or writers. An author, in particular who is excellent at writing and great at constructing solid arguments, is Malcolm Gladwell. I have a personality type of ENFP. Which means I have a personality that is extroverted, intuitive, feeling, and perceiving. A personality of this allows me to be very outgoing, a collaborative communicator, and to be perceived of other’s feelings. Such traits bear great interpersonal relationships. After answering multiple questions for different situations I was able to obtain information about my personality. ENFJ is a very unique and has various skill sets that will allow me as individual to work in multiple roles. Occupations with good interpersonal skills that allow productive collaboration through any working process. Although this personality can be challenging it still has many benefits to help build careers successfully. There are many high rank positions that this particular personality type would be effective in. Some examples are sales, social services, community care, legal and the list goes on. In all of these roles there are a broad range of occupations that would fit perfectly based on the personality type. However, the ultimate focus is to reach their main dreams. Although they may see their selves as helpers or enablers, this creates the challenge.

Out of 16 personalities ENFP is more than likely the best fit for me.
