Ancient Egypt was a captivating and intricate civilization. Over the years, historians have found it easier to study this civilization, rather than other historical civilizations, because the Egyptians went through great lengths to record their history. Besides being decent record keepers, they were very religious, and “ahead of their time,” due to their technological and economic breakthroughs. Because of the aspects of this culture, it has to be one of the greatest civilizations of the world.

today i'm known as The Mighty Egyptian. My dad came from the planet Krypton. My mom comes from the planet Earth. When my dad went to Earth he met my mom then became girlfriend and boyfriend and then got married and had me. Then named me The Mighty Egyptian they thought that was a cool name. Then when I was twelve I started feeling stuff in my body change. When I ran, I ran 100 m.p.h. So I asked my dad why I could run so fast he said that he and mom had super powers. I asked what superpowers do I have. He said I have super speed, super vision, telepathy, flying, and invisibility. And my weakness was force fields and he said my arch enemy is Spongebob squarepants.

Small features of this society including aligning the 4 corners of the pyramids and being able to divide the year into 365 days makes it truly fascinating, The main reason that this society was able to thrive and be successful can be attributed to the great Nile River. Due to this people were able to settle which lead to the creation of a surplus, which could be sustained for around 2000 years.

“A Question of Identity” by James Baldwin discusses about the experience of American students in Paris. These students share only one commonality and that is they all have military experiences. Even though they have served in the war, each of them has their unique and “private” experience. After the war, instead of going back home to America, the students decided stay in Europe. Illness is in no way a new thing, if you had happened to to sick at the time of ancient egyptians there probably was a treatment for it. However in ancient egypt, the medicine that we think of now was not the preferred way in treating diseases. The egyptians had a leg on on the other societies of the ancient world. This mostly relates to their embalming process where they religiously practiced removing and preserving human remains. The ancient egyptians believed that in order for a soul to travel to the afterlife the body must be preserved.Through the embalming process, egyptians had gained great knowledge of anatomy, dissection and preservation. The entire mummification process took multiple skilled prist and roughly 70 days to complete.

It was played in temples for worship, during holidays and social events. Music was also used to make workers more productive because it was found to be more bearable and motivating. I chose the planet Venus. Venus was named after the Roman Goddess of love and is one of the only planets named after a woman. I find it ironic that the only planet named after a woman is also one of the harshest and most uninhabitable planets in the solar system. There are two theories for planet formation and the one that fits the formation of Venus is called core accretion model. The theory of core accretion says that gravity collapsed the material (dust and gas) in the solar nebula, in on itself as it spun and that formed the sun at the center.

Some of the well known ancient Egyptian relics are the ones like the ancient pyramids, the Great Sphinx of Giza, mummies, and their many forms of art. Ancient Egyptian art is one of the most recognized styles of art. The most commonly known types of ancient Egyptian art are types like paintings, ceramics, and sculptures. Not only is Egyptian art beautiful, but it carries a huge deal of value and significance with it. A great portion of the time, the art has some kind of religious meaning to it. Consequently it is very difficult to discuss the art itself without delving into the various gods and goddesses presented in it.

Egyptian culture has many contrasts and contradictions between the old and the new. The two cultures are much different from each other. But in its entirety, the culture of Egypt has successfully combined the best of both worlds. Keeping the appeal and magnificence of its ancient culture unharmed, modern Egypt has absorbed the contemporary ways of life.
