It was like surgery of how precise she was taking it out of her hand. Once the gun was out of her hand she put it on the bed farthest away from her and shook her awake and just started yelling at her. Some of the things she said were “ How could you be so selfish?” and “I hate you!” She walking out of her room she hid the gun in a different room. She was so upset. She couldn't believe that her own mother would take her life. Or at least attempt to. She felt that every waking moment her mother abused her. To say that Aileen’s start in life was a poor one, is a great understatement. It was a horrible life right from the start. One of the only good things about her life was that she never got to know her father, a psychopathic child molester, serving a life sentence in a Kansas prison for raping a 7 year old girl, who hanged himself in prison in 1969. After she broke into Gary’s room and found out that Gary was carrying the bag that contains pornography, she immediately asked Tod’s help to talk to Gary. She had a chance to talk to Tod and had learned that Tod came from a broken family. She had a better idea of who Tod was and his help to Gary gained Helen’s respect. Helen supported Tod and helped her daughter Julie overcame the tough situation in marriage. Helen

Instead of holding on to all 3,000 issued stock options, Ms. Jameson could keep a portion of the stock options and trade some in the market. Keeping some Telstar stock options would help keep her tied to the company without making her feel that she is bound to the company for the next five years or that she is facing enormous risk of losing her bonus altogether. By doing this, Ms. Jameson would provide herself with the opportunity to make investments outside of Telstar, and thus, better diversify her
In this story, Collier puts the reader into the story to add a personal feel to it. He tells the reader to imagine picking up the phone with the neighbor describing a masked man carrying something shiny around the neighborhood. Naturally, the person hangs up the phone and goes to investigate while carrying a gun. When the reader finds the masked man, he walks towards the main character. Little to the main character’s knowledge, the masked man is his or her teenage son. Since the son doesn’t think about how the parent sees him in their perspective, he innocently continues walking as he always had. The parent shoots and kills her or her son because of his or her instinct to blindly shoot. (Collier 82)

“I’m sorry to ask this again Ms.Fink, but could you please restate what happened the night of the murders?” I knew what they were doing. It didn’t take a mastermind to figure out that they are trying to pin the murders on me, anyone who had ever watched a crime show in their life would have caught on. “I got home from work, my mom was cooking in the kitchen, my dad was watching football in the living room, and my sister and brother were wrestling down the stairs. “My name,” she repeated, this time more steadily, “is Elizabeth .” My Father’s expression changed drastically, now the face that was once a little annoyed, began to morph to pure anger. All these years no one ever talked back to my Father, not once has anyone ever said anything against him. Time slowed down as he began to raise an arm to discipline my Ma, but bit his lip in regret and retreated to the couch across the room. Everyone froze in the silence. Nobody in this household would ever hit a lady, especially someone who does as much for us as my Ma. He was such a nice man, so handsome and helpful, why would he even think about hitting my Ma?
