The salsa was perfect. It wasn't too spicy or plain. It had a great taste of the cilantro and lime juice. The chips were warm with a nice crunch to them. Next, we got to order the food. I got the El Mezcal Ground Beef Burrito. The menu portrayed it as a large flour tortilla filled with seasoned ground beef and beans or tender chunks of chicken topped with lettuce, tomato, sour cream, and cheese. For lunch, the traditional meal is called a casado. It again consists of rice and beans served side by side instead of mixed. There will usually be some type of meat (carne asada, fish, pork chop, or chicken) and a salad to round out the dish. There may also be some extras like fried plantain (patacones or maduro), a slice of white cheese, and/or corn tortillas in

They would then “dress up” their enchiladas with cheese, salsa, tomatoes, lettuce, and anything else they enjoyed on their food. The word enchilada, meaning “chili filled” can be traced back to 1885.
