Thanks for sharing your experiences. One of the things I do remember in elementary school was the fire drills it felt like we had one all the time. I remember when we had the fire drills we had to grab our stuff and we had to leave out the building. The teacher would have her attendance sheet then she would call our names while we were outside. What grade do you teach? Growing up I live in a single household with my mother who was very strict. It was seven of us all together. She wanted things done a certain way. Our responsibilities were washing dishes, cleaning up our rooms, and cleaning the bathroom and kitchen. I am glad my mother raise me the way she did everyday I tr to teach my students and children responsibilities and independence.
The kid that started the gorge fire have done a lot of damage and many people are very angry with the kid and say that he should go to jail for what he did and i don’t think he should. I think they should have a punishment but not one that will ruin their lives.
On 7-7-16, I observed a fire drill conduced on A-shift at approximately 0856. Building Control called via radio to Officer Elkins, the pod officer, in 3C that there was a fire alarm activation in pod 3C cell 15. After Officer Elkins heard the call he radioed to building control that he received the notification. Officer Elkins immediately announced to the inmates in the dayroom to line up on the ramp. Officer Elkins did a group unlock on the cell doors, and then went to don on the air pack and grab his flex cuffs. He then went back to the pod desk to grab his logbook/documents and waited for the responding officers to enter. Officer Rumfield was the first officer into the pod he went behind the pod desk to get the fire extinguisher. He called building control for a repeat on where the alarm was called. After finding out that it was in cell 15 he went to the cell scanned it and radioed to building control that there was no smoke or fire in cell 15. At 0859, Building control called via radio be advised that this is
Fire district 13 is located in the forested valleys and steep foothills of the Cascade Mountain Range at the base of Mount St. Helens. Access to our district, primarily reached by one main county road, is limited. With automatic mutual aid to neighboring districts with, major rail, and freeway- interoperability is key. Located above the Cascadia Subduction zone, Clark County is due for a catastrophic earthquake. The area that includes fire district 13 is a transitional zone between unoccupied forest land and human development. Being a part of the wildland urban interface zone puts us at a higher risk for wildfires.
The fire service has long-standing traditions dating back to the 18th Century, whether it is the color red on fire apparatus or the shape of their helmets. Some traditions are important in the American fire service while others traditions are dangerous or unneeded practices but still, exist for a variety of reasons. One of the biggest challenges to making changes requires the changing of the culture within the fire service.
The role of authority changed because I was the one getting them up and taking care of them all the time. I took care of them as if they were my parents or grandparents. The job was so very stressful. Not only are you taking care of them you have to make sure they don’t get hurt when you are not in their room or do something they were not supposed to do. They would often forget where things were and wonder around.
The star of the film is Pastor Becky Fischer, who explains the startling mission of her "Kids on Fire" camp: "I want young people to be as committed to laying down their lives for the Gospel as they are in Pakistan." At the camp, the children are asked: "How many of you want to be those who will give up your life for Jesus?" Little hands shoot up from every direction. They are told: "We have to break the power of the enemy over the government." At one point, Becky yells: "This means war! Are you a part of it or not?" More little hands.
My mom is very strict about education. When I was in Haiti , I used to go to a private school, a Catholic school. That school had a big effect on me. The way I talk to people, the way I dress, the way I see things in life, and I was always the student who didn 't talk in class, respect my teachers and my classmates. Being in a religious school made me the daughter a parent could ever dream of. That 's what my mom told me. Even though my mom only graduated from high school, she make sure that I go to school every day. I don 't remember missing one day at school, not even once, except when it 's raining which is something we don 't decide. I remember one day I had a fever and a stomach ache, my mother didn 't bother asking me if I was okay going to school. She just told me: " A fever can 't kill
Firefighting was my childhood dream job. As I got older that dream changed; however, the mentality of helping others is still significant. During freshman year, I joined Key Club since it is an international club where I can meet other members from different schools and create future connections. As a member of Key Club for three years, I completed 40 hours of volunteer work per semester. Though the club participates in various activities such as collecting clothing for the homeless, organizing food drives, and picking up trash, the one I enjoyed the most was donating food to the homeless.
During the Revolutionary War, fire was used as a weapon for both the colonies and the British. This demanded suppression efforts during wartime so, many militia members were also firefighters. Some of the most notable revolutionary figures were also firefighters including: Washington, Hamilton, Adams, Hancock, and Revere. However, during this time fire companies were often hostile to each other. Volunteer fire companies, most infamously in Philadelphia, were heavily influenced and ran by gangs for example “the Killers” or “the Rats.” Many times, Fire companies would often engage in a mob-like fight to see who would put out a fire before actually putting the fire out, which led to an overall blaze and often counteracted the fire company’s arrival.
Once, our hotel has fire-safety simulation. Because this day, few examiner were coming to our hotel and checking the all about hotel. In the restaurant such as refrigerator, a product that expiry date, a cleaning product that is bio, also does any stuff is blocking Emergency Exit. After that, we started to on fire-warning and to check that does it correctly works facilities. Continually I control the kitchen and restaurant that make sure there is nobody inside. This point, I participation the fire safety lesson and simulation, I learn about having a responsibility in each workstation.
Many psychologists throughout history have indulged in studies related to parenting behavior and how children are affected from such behavior. The work of Diana Baumrind, which is considered to be one of the most influential and well-studied theories of parenting behavior, was the first to identify three styles of parenting (Sclafani 44). These styles of parenting are called authoritative, authoritarian, and permissive. This paper will further explain descriptions of these styles and the typical behaviors of children as a result of each style. This paper will also provide insight on the parenting style I was raised on along with my thoughts on types of discipline I might use in the
My mother Jeanne has always raised me on a tight leash and taught me to have morals, ethics, self-respect, and class about myself. She raised me and my older brother by herself for a long time, and we never really got to have the “Wonderful” mother/daughter relationship every little girl wants with her mother, but because of
Being young can be hard. Both teachers and parents breaking down your walls at all times telling you what you can and can’t do. By law they have to. Telling you what you can eat, say, or even the where’s, when’s, and how’s of your life. A parent can choose to influence every aspect of your life. Parents are controlling over you because they believe they can create and raise the
gases and smokes could have carbon dioxide, and carbon monoxide in it. Also the different colors in a firework involves chemistry too! Fireworks get their different colors from metal compounds.
I do not remember enjoying my school experience as a child. I often felt overwhelmed and had a horrible time keeping my focus and retaining anything that was taught inside the classroom. Both of my parents worked full-time outside of the home during my childhood school days. There was no parent involvement or engagement because of their work schedules. However, both of my parents actively helped me with my school homework assignments.
