Google defines collaboration as “The action of working with someone to produce or create something.” Collaboration consists of leadership, teamwork, and effective-listening, qualities which I confidently believe I can contribute to the MSU community. My first semester of college, I joined a Relay for Life committee where we had weekly decisions about how to improve the lives of those people who have cancer. Relay for Life is a community based event to raise money for the American Cancer Society. As a team, we listened to one another’s comments and engaged in conversation. Working endlessly for hours, and understanding all opinions, we provided an amazing event for those fighting cancer and those helping to fight. The idea of collaboration between

In Bryan Stevenson’s book, Just Mercy, he addresses the hardships faced by African Americans in society and in the legal justice system. Through the author’s efforts to accomplish changes in our legal system, he utilizes three different group values including: common purpose, collaboration, and controversy with civility. All three of these groups values are interconnected and different in their own way and are essential in accomplishing social change. Collaboration, common purpose, and collaboration are all important for a groups working together to achieve a common goal. The common purpose is the group’s shared vision and accurately sets out the values that the group hopes to possess.

To be successful it is necessary to work with other people, to coordinate and have a harmony with them.

Team work and open communication is, as I have said and will say numerous times, vital to achieving organisational objectives and creating a positive working environment and a ‘can-do’ attitude.

Working as a team will not only bring the best out of me, but it will bring the best out of everyone by achieving that common goal.

And this also will help people perform their own work in the right context and pull together towards the same overall aims.

This analysis examines the differences of introversion and extroversion and how many people place negative connotations associated with being an introvert. Also examined is the importance of introverts in society and how powerful introverts really are despite what many believe.

I would collaborate with the unit manager to design the team. We will select diverse champions with different backgrounds, experiences, skills and qualifications. After forming the team, using the similar assessment tools, I will assess the members. This is to evaluate their strengths and weaknesses. I would provide the team with the clear idea about the project, purposes, activities included, goals and the timeline to achieve the goals. Depending on the strengths and weaknesses of the members, I will assign the job to the team. The purpose of the activities planned is to make sure the staff are in compliance with the existing policies and protocols of the unit. The team will do chart audits and tracking of the staff activities to ensure the

partnership and group effect to succeed. Research has shown that when success is attained that this needs to be recognized and celebrated.
