Abstract
The hidden curriculum includes many elements. The focus on student achievement, classroom management, and relationships within the school setting are three aspects that impact student achievement. School leaders must use strategies to ensure that the district emphasizes academic achievement as their top priority. It is vital that the principal assist teachers to be successful in classroom management. The administration must create a climate that helps students to know that staff members are caring and nurturing individuals. Managing these hidden curriculum elements successfully will ensure student achievement and student growth.

Introduction
The hidden curriculum is an integral part of our educational system. This unwritten, or sometimes called unintentional, curriculum cannot be overlooked when considering student achievement and student growth. The components of this curriculum work together with the written curriculum in either a positive or a negative fashion to assist or hinder the academic development of the individual child. Three aspects of the hidden curriculum that impact student achievement are the focus on student achievement, classroom management, and relationships within the school setting.
