Speaking from experience, everyone goes through their everyday struggles to become successful in their life. We face new challenges that make us into the people that we are today. Ellen DeGeneres is a person that has worked very hard to overcome the obstacles throughout her life. And this has helped her become one of the most successful and loved women of her time.
Ellen DeGeneres was born on January 29, 1958 in Jefferson, Louisiana. Her older brother Vance is also a comedy writer. From 1999 to 2001 he was also a correspondent with ‘The Daily Show.’Ellen is the daughter of Elliot and Betty DeGeneres. Her father was an insurance salesman and her mother was a working mom. When Ellen was in her teens her parents got divorced. “In 1997, she came out as gay, and became a staunch advocate of LGBT rights.” (A&E Television Networks 2018.) This brought on many struggles for her because there are a lot of people in the world that are not open to the idea of anyone being different than they are. She is also known for being very kind and gentle. Everyday she inspires her fans and anyone she meets to be open and to be their absolute truest self. Throughout the world she is considered to be a hero because she is so gracious and kind hearted. She helps people everyday and more times than not she puts others before herself. One of the biggest reasons that everyone loves her so much is because she keeps her audience and outside viewers interested in the conversation that they are having.
