By 1956 he was an international sensation. He starred in 33 films and did hundreds of shows and specials. This success would eventually lead him to an early death.

Janis Martin deserves to be included inside the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The reasoning behind this is because of the name that she made for herself “Female Elvis”. Everybody knows who Elvis is, so that at least gives one an idea or familiarizes one about Janis Martin. A counter argument as to why she shouldn’t be inducted in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is because she’s a woman. One could argue that that is sexist and/or ignorant.

The function of the foundation is to recognize the contributions of those who have had a significant impact on the evolution, development, and perpetuation of rock and roll, stated Future Rock Legends (2006-2017). The Foundation has inducted over 300 candidates, each artist is inducted after 25 years of their first album. Each year the nomination and induction process is coordinated by Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation committee.
