Emily Dickinson's Works
There is a life in Emily Dickinson’s poems, readers have found. Although one may not completely understand her as a legend, a writer, or as a part of literature books, she is considered one of America’s greatest poets. While unknown answers may not be revealed about her, secrets may not be told, nor any new discoveries made, evidence from books and articles showing Emily Dickinson’s experiences and hardships exists. Critic Paul J. Ferlazzo describes her writings: “Many students and casual readers of her poetry have enjoyed hearing tales about her which remind them of storybook heroines locked in castles, of beautiful maidens cruelty relegated to a life of drudgery and obscurity, of genius so great that all

She wanted to create her own poetic craft that demonstrated her independence, and this extraordinary individuality characterizes her work and career. Ferlazzo gives some prime examples of her poetry dealing with her religious experience: “Most of her poems and letters are given a biographical reading. For instance, “Going to Heaven!” and “Some Keep the Sabbath going to church” are meant to summarize her religious opinions.” 3

How dim it sounds! Some keep the Sabbath in and yet it will be done surplice; As sure as the flocks go home at night I just wear my wings; Into the Shepherd’s arm and instead of tolling the bell for church.

A dull routine can always cause artificial stimulants that can lead to not more than fake results. In Unholy Sonnet 14 by Mark Jarman, he illustrates how the congregation is becoming more of a social organization than a faith-based community mainly because of the routine it follows. The poem reveals how the typical congregation seeks for sin to be forgiven. However, it also suggests that a congregation’s conventional dull routine cannot relive the pain of sin when it remains in the heart of the individual.
This is an appeal what happened to Langston Hughes it plays on the emotions to be ‘saved’ by god to stand up and be saved. The evidence is ‘that night I was escorted to the front row and placed on the ‘mourners’ bench with all the other young sinners, who
Emily Dickinson, recognized as one of the greatest American poets of the nineteenth century, was born December 10, 1830 in Amherst, Massachusetts (Benfey, 1). Dickinson’s greatness and accomplishments were not always recognized. In her time, women were not recognized as serious writers and her talents were often ignored. Only seven of her 1800 poems were ever published. Dickinson’s life was relatively simple, but behind the scenes she worked as a creative and talented poet. Her work was influenced by poets of the seventeenth century in England, and by her puritan upbringing. Dickinson was an obsessively private writer. Dickinson withdrew herself from the social contract around the age of thirty and devoted herself, in secret, to writing.
God is whispering over the earth, awake and rise children the time has come to stand up in my glory and proclaim the gospel.

One of the most noticeable differences between the early church and the modern American church is the way people lived. Today, many Christians give God Sundays but neglect him and maybe even his commandments the rest of the week. Even when modern Christians try to please God everyday, many don’t want to do anything too uncomfortable for fear of what others
As this Sabbath service was my first experience, I was curious about every little thing that happens. During the Sabbath service, the Rabbi gave us directions to follow hymn pages in the service book. This book was written in both Hebrew and English. There were different prayers with different sections. We sat down in some parts and stood up in some other parts. Sometimes the

Joshua and I were up the first day into Sabbath; we said our Romans 8: 28 prayer and planned our day. Our parents allowed us t miss first day church, this time, because of all the issues we had decided on. The original 13 of us had breakfast at Marie’s house around 9:30, the rest of the original 13 arrived at around 10 A. M. while the ladies prepared breakfast, Yashua and the rest of the guy’s went over some names for the paper and the foundation. Marie played gospel music in the background, while we ate and made jokes about one another. Fred and the other parents that were there went out for breakfast.
Emily Dickinson is one of the most famous authors in American History, and a good amount of that can be attributed to her uniqueness in writing. In Emily Dickinson's poem 'Because I could not stop for Death,' she characterizes her overarching theme of Death differently than it is usually described through the poetic devices of irony, imagery, symbolism, and word choice.
My honored duty (punishment) was to remain at the far back of the sanctuary. My post was behind a thick red curtain in a narrow doorway, through a small foyer, and into the church kitchenette. The parishioners so kindly found a stool at a second-hand shop with which I could rest when I wasn’t busy serving coffee, preparing the communion plate, or listening to the muffled sermon through speakers that crackled.
Emily Dickinson’s reclusive life was arguably a result of her proposed bi-polar disorder. This life and disorder unduly influenced the themes of her poetry. She chose not to associate herself with society and volumes of her poems, published posthumously, examine this idea as well as the themes of nature and death. The clearest examples of these themes are presented in the following analysis of just of few of her
Choose you this day whom ye will serve;... but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. - Josh 24:2,
The Sabbath is a ‘day of rest and relaxation’ worshipped by Christians and Jews. Sabbath is commanded by God to keep sabbath as a holy day of rest because God rested from the creation on the seventh day of the week. It’s a day to remember God and his creation, rejoice, sharing food, reading Bibles and spending time with family and friends.
