What is Energy? Energy is what makes things go, run, move, and/or happen. There are 9 types of energy Potential, Kinetic, Electrical, Chemical, Nuclear, Thermal, Mechanical, Heat, and Sound energy. Soon I got in a group and we had an experiment on energy in bowling. Our Guiding question was, “What recommendations will you give to the Alley Cats to help them win the bowling championship?” Our Hypothesis was If a heavy bowling ball rolls on 4 textbooks, then it will have the greatest energy, giving it the greatest effect. Me and my group made a bowling alley with Marbles as balls, index cards as pins, a groove as the lane, and the textbooks hold up the slope going down. The artifact I have chosen to attach to the discussion board was CE230 unit nine project. What I learned based on that assignment was how to develop creative activities for young children from the age of five and seven. After completing the different activities with the students in this project we had to show what were the student’s objective and what leaning experience where you trying to achieve and was it accomplished with this activity. Example after completing the activity you would indicated if the student was able to follow directions. You would observe if the child was able to correctly solve the problems and it the students showed interest in the game. I recalled when I was in grade school we played Math Bingo it was fun and educational.

When a ball is brought above the head it is potential energy but when the person holding the ball lets go of the ball gravity pulls it down and as the ball drops the potential energy is converted to kinetic energy and as it approaches the ground the potential energy decreases and the kinetic energy increases.
