In general, English language is one of the pioneer languages in the world; we can see the importance of this language and the impact to the user itself. English is consider as common communication language that been used in every aspects of life. Hence, learning English is very important to all individuals out there in order to maintain the connections with each other.

English is a very important part of our lives as it is our everyday communication tool. It is imperative to know how to read, listen, speak, and comprehend; how to write so that we can express our thoughts about something; and how to communicate in a way that people will understand. Since English is the global language, it is essential that we have a good command of the language not only to set a good example but to be successful in life.

The English language is particularly complex in almost all aspects. Many of the words in the English language have different meanings for the same word. This is not unlike the definition of the different levels of usage. McCrimmon defines the three levels, formal, moderate, and colloquial, by their sentence structure, diction, and tone (McCrimmon 193). ¹ Using McCrimmon’s definitions, authors can determine what type of writing is applicable to each of the three levels. For the formal writings, an adequate example of where readers can find it is in a professional journal, and an appropriate place to find an example of the moderate level is in a weekly news magazine. Also, the best place to look for an example of the colloquial level is in certain sections of the newspaper. All of the levels of usage apply to these different types of writings and assist in defining what each level involves.

English is the most common language to communicate scientific, technological, academic and international trade information. English is considered to be a useful tool to access the world.

A language that is spoken internationally is called “Global” or “World” language. A global language is a language in which people speak internationally on a daily basis, in international organizations and diplomatic relations. It is a “lingua franca”, a language that helps people from different backgrounds to communicate with each other. Not many languages that have been established in human history have reached to the point in which they are called a global language, amongst those few languages is English. Approximately 2 billion people around the world use English as a native language, a second language or a foreign language. English is used for many causes, such as; technical and scientific communication, education and employment.

Language as a whole is what separates the human race from that of animals. It is one of the most basic unifying human traits of self-expression and communication. Language advances independent human thought, and consequently, humans are able to construct high-functioning societies. Language impacts society through basic daily needs, as well as through complex systems such as governmental control, personal beliefs, and socially accepted behaviors.

In Malaysia, English language is stereotypically considered as a person’s second or third language. Majority of Malaysians’ native language is Malay for Malays, Tamil for Indians, Mandarin for Chinese or colloquial dialects for those from rural areas. In this paper, I would reflect on my English language learning experiences.

English is international language which has been spoken as communication tool for many sectors such as education, technology, diplomacy, economic, and industry. English is needed by people in globalization era. English is learnt by almost all of schools all over the world, from formal schools up to non-formal ones. English is one of important subject in school because English is needed by students to get a job after graduation. Besides, the objective of learning English is the students are able to use it as a means of communication either by speech or written.

Nowadays, it is well known that learning a second language is as important as studying in the high school or the elementary school. English is one of the most important languages that we need to know and understand, because almost all the jobs require it..

Due to the important of English language in communication, English has becomes global language, and important on countless aspects. Each country has different main language and even in one country, there are several mother tongues for each race and ethnic. As the solution, English has become the first pick language in communication for most of progressive countries. At the same time, English is the only one medium of communication for worldwide to communicate with each other. The importance of learning English in communication is undeniable, as someone needs to speak in English when he or she communicates with foreign people. Mastery of English language does not only can improve global communication but also contribute to a good relationship among each country so that keep close.

Finally, for tourism and traveling to the most beautiful countries, one is in extreme need for learning English. For example, once I was traveling for Spain, I didn`t know anything about the best places to visit or how to approach people but English eased my way. Also, for Immigration purposes , people have to study the history of the country they intended to immigrate to .That`s why English is a top priority.

English is of importance to become our universal language, because with the globalized society we live in, communication among different groups of people, has become increasingly important in the last 25 years. According to Statista.com, “1,500 million people worldwide speak English, of whom only 375 million are native speakers” 1.5 billion people speak English, that’s 20% of the world that can already communicate with each other. One of the biggest reasons for English to be the world’s lingua franca, is because of media, such as phones, tv, books, and the internet. Never in the history of mankind have humans been more interconnected than they are right now due to the internet. With the rise of the internet in the past 20 years, English quickly became the dominant language of the World Wide Web. Due to this, if everyone had the ability to have one common language, it would make it possible for everyone online to interact, communicate, and learn more about each other’s cultures. With this ability for everyone to understand on the internet what each other is saying, it would allow
