Max's POV
My eyes opening to slits bright white light burning them a shooting pain as my bloodshot eyes watered ,unreal pain as if they were being clawed away, everything began to focus i noticed i was facing the dreded sun as it began to rise in the faded distance , agony shattered in my ribs , I tasted traces of bile as memory's of yesterday rose higher in mind...
For me it was just another normal day only for some reason it felt worse...I pushed off the ground stumbling uncontrollably my bones aching in protest, I staggered over to where my books had been previously scattered a few feet away as I repositioned my jacket.i clumsily shoved my useless school books into my dirt covered bag using all my strength as i croutched down. now taking notice that it was darker than i thought i looked up to view the sky faded light in the distance casting a blue hue over head as it show through stormy blue clouds.. It looked fairly early before closing my bag i searched for my cheap cell phone i had bought with money earned from my shitty part time job at subway not like i really needed a phone its not like i actually have friends , once i reached the object in mind i scanned my eyes upon the screen seeing the time to be 5:07 am, as i put my phone away and stood up balancing my bag on my aching sholder i felt a chilling mist wet drops slowly began falling ... Great. Hell,I need a shower anyways besides there was something i found peaceful about rain most people would probably disagree
The first thing you felt was the softness of something beneath you, and the warmness of what you assumed was sunlight on your tan skin. Sitting up very slowly, you examined the space around you to find what was so soft below your outstretched legs. Golden flowers grew out of the cracked stone ground, shining a yellowish hue that seemed to make them even more beautiful than they already were. The sunlight that lit up part of the room you were currently residing in came from a distant hole in the rocky roof hanging high above you. Groggily, you stood up.
I was a passenger in the backseat of our family vehicle. The small bumps in the pavement lulled me to a place of perfect repose. As we looked outside our windows we could see the sky painting a magnificent show for us. The sun was going down, but the heavens were brighter and more astounding than I had ever seen them before. It was as if someone had set the clouds alight with raging wildfires and splashes of pink and purple scattered about. I never wanted it to end, but the sky had other plans. The masterpiece before us began to recede into darkness as the nighttime engulfed the sun and put daytime to
The day was dark. I could feel a storm approaching. The gentle sunlight glistening through the clouds, now covered by a heavy mist. Drop. Drop. Drop. The coldness of the water tinged my face. And the earth shook, as a large boom erupted from the sky followed by a light crackle. By now, I was soaked, like that night. I continued walking through the deserted streets when a large flash erupted from the sky. Oh, great lightning, today was getting better and better. A woman and her young child was running towards their car to seek shelter. The walk was a long and dreadful one, I found myself looking at the place I left 15 years ago. The house was still dark and foreboding as ever, the shutters hanging off its hinges and the roof in a state of disrepair.
My feet, without any cloths to protect them were bloody and covered in sores from rubbing against sharp stones. Like some of the horrible bed sores one of my many brothers had gotten years ago. At least that is how I am picturing them in my mind, as couldn’t see them in this light, or lack of. My feet ached, hunger pains were beginning to rise, my head, with such intense pain and that awful, awful feeling that I was not alone. I could feel the hairs on my neck stand as the eerie buzz of silence screamed in my ear. Unconsciously my slow pacing of the perimeter broke into a full speed run.
All I saw was pitch black. As soon as I opened my eyes I felt like I was staring straight into the sun. I jumped out of bed at the sound of my alarm clock blaring noise into my ear. I then glanced at my clock which read 8:13 am. I walked to the kitchen to grab a muffin, but I then heard my dad yell, ”Are you ready for the finals?”.
I open my eyes again after what could have been a life time or no time at all. Blinding light forces them to reshut. I try to open them slowly and squint at my surroundings, but my stinging eyes crave the darkness. “Welcome back,” a different voice says; a woman’s.
The blinding light coming from the outside poured into me. I grabbed the air reaching for water just like looking for an oasis in a desert. My eyes, yawned by the sun poking into my eyes and I realized that I was back in my house; my old jacketed
Unable to see a break of light in all of the dark, my mind grew fuzzy, I was losing hope. Gritting my teeth, grinding them along each other, a new pain ripped through my body. Thick, thorn-covered vines wrapped around my feet multiple times as ripples began to flare out from bellow the soles of my shoes. Like ripples across water. The ground was no longer solid.
Alright Alright, It's memorial day and it is still 1000 degree with no end in sight. This may be the end of the world and we all cook to death... who knows. As I cannot convince any of my buddies to get out of there air conditioning safety bubbles, I sit inside too contemplating what to do. Being inside seemed to be the only option for myself and I wasn't too thrilled. It was time for dinner and as the food was cooking I looked at my phone to see my weather app and the snapchat weather people inform me that there was rain coming. As Zimmerman was just getting hit by rain, people south of me were running from tornados which actually seemed pretty entertaining and better than sitting inside bored.
As I walk home I put my earphones in and start playing the song Diamonds Aren't Forever by Bring Me The Horizon. The clouds began to cover the sun, and just like my eyes, water began to fall out of the sky. This was the weather I'd have to get used to. Seattle was know for its grey skies and underground bands. I'd be leaving my life behind to start a new one.
An immense pressure bore in her head as she slowly awoke from her midday slumber, her daydreams slowly fading away from her mind. Reality sunk in, and she found herself awake. Dim light shone through the windows and it pierced her eyes, worse than a thousand needles ever could. Her mental screams sounded that of countless condemned souls, shrieking for life
During the first half of the day, I slouched around my school, dragging my feet from class to class as I was convinced that I would not survive without any Advil. It only took me a few hours of being a whiny teenager to take into account the law of attraction, and I knew that if I simply pretended like I felt better, I would. I forced a few positive thoughts and convinced myself that I was not only healthy, but also in an amazing mood. It was a great day after all, I was going to study cadavers at a nearby college.
I was looking out upon the dwindling light of dusk. It was fading slowly into immense peaks stretching high from the crisp green grass wet with dew from the prior rain. My paint brush was wet thickly with a spectrum of colors. I then saw a canvas half-finished with yellowish-red rays of dense paint resembling a enticing marvel of light engraved into the sky. Abruptly my false sense of peace was extinguished. I was awoken with a raucous barking resounding in my ears.
Recently, I awoke to the sound of rain pattering on the roof. It’s about 2 in the morning, and I just couldn’t sleep thinking about the excitement that lay ahead. I went out for an early morning walk. I love the rain. It brings peace to the night.
One day me and a couple friends went to the homecoming football game, it was a gorgeous day outside for the longest time, there were a couple of clouds up in the sky but other than that it was a flawless day for a game. Until next thing you look up at the sky and you see more and more clouds coming in over your head. Guess what the warmest started getting muggy. Then it started to pour down rain comparable to when you or someone in your house is taking a shower, but imagine harder
