The U.S Military is very one of the biggest and strongest branches ever in the US Especially The US Army Branch is why I chose this specific branch,It was started in June 14,1775.But as becoming a Soldier you would have to be a strong minded individual entering this stage is just pretty much something really big to take into ,You can make this out of a life long career into this with plenty of opportunities in life as being a Soldier,There are two options when your are signing your contract you can either go Active Duty or Reserves,when you are choosing your job while being evaluated for your jobs there are so many jobs you can choose from or help being it chosen for.

It was September 30th 2015 and I was coming off Active Duty Orders working for the Indiana Army National Guard Military Funeral Honors Team. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do next. When I went to Joint Forces Headquarters to pick up my DD Form 214, I ran into the Sergeant Major that was in charge of Recruiting and Retention for Indiana. I talked to him a little bit and he asked me if I had ever thought about becoming a recruiter. I told him that I have thought about it, but everyone I knew, told me that I couldn’t handle the stress of being a recruiter. Sergeant Major told me that the excuse I gave him should motivate me even more to be a recruiter. I told him that I would sleep on it and call him in the morning. The next morning, I called Sergeant Major and told him that I was ready to accept the challenge and be a RRNCO (Recruiting and Retention Non-Commissioned Officer).

As I begin my journey as a RRNCO (Recruiting and Retention Non-Commissioned Officer) there will be many obstacles that I will have to overcome to be the best recruiter I can be. I want to be able to give others the same opportunities the National Guard offered to me. I was not always supportive of the military, but in the end I owe all my success to the time I spent in the Army National Guard. Throughout this paper I will be showing different statistics or demographics of the high school I feel is the most important school I need to focus on. When I start to look at the school year, I have to devote certain time and effort, so I need to develop a school program that will help generate leads and referrals. By conducting presentations about the ARNG (Army National Guard) on such topics as the role of the ARNG, state/federal missions, features and benefits, employment opportunities and ARNG history.(NGR 601-1 2-18(f)) My yearly plan will be broken down month by month. 1. Senior Enlisted Reserve Advisors (SERA) do not have enough drill time to be responsive to the readiness needs of the reserve force. In between duty weekends many reserve related matters need attention in order to maintain reserve readiness. These matters vary from meeting with the Officer in Charge to working with a sector yeoman on a reenlistment. During the week a SERA may need to coordinate with the unit training officer to verify training activities or check in with a reserve member to make sure they’re studying for a board. The issue is that SERAs spend a significant amount of time in between drill weekends tending to the needs of the reserve program. The Coast Guard should consider offering SERAs additional compensation or drill time so they can more effectively manage reserve readiness.

(Hogan 2005) The U.S army is still an all-volunteer fighting force today defending and defeating enemy threats to the United States. Since the creation of the U.S army it has built on tradition and honor for its country and willing to defend the constitution for more than two and a half century. Learning the culture of the United States Army will help give people an understanding of the people who serve in the army as well as learn what shaped the army today.

Army officers learn from the onset of their careers the important role they play as problem solvers. The various military institutions tasked with providing education to the officer corps spend vast amounts of time teaching and reinforcing the Army Problem Solving Process. With that being said, Army officers at all ranks would be better served if they were able to incorporate the eight elements of thought as defined by Drs. Paul & Elder into the military decision-making process. Although encompassed within the Army problem solving process, officers often fail to identify and incorporate the tenets of thought when making decisions resulting in potentially adverse consequences. The goal during the unfreezing stage is to create an awareness of how the status quo, or current level of acceptability, is hindering the organization in some way. The idea is that the more we know about a change and the more we feel that it is necessary and urgent, the more motivated we are to accept the change.
Unfreezing stage clear communication must be provided which is still valid today. The communication must include a sense of urgency and help employees understand why the change is needed. In order for change to occur, employees must be prepared for the change. They must also feel that their position is secure and that they will receive support from all levels through the implementation of the change. Additionally, employees should be a part of the change process to ensure they still feel empowered within the organization.
