These coins are the most elaborate and well-drawn of the three brothers, and like Tincommius all Verica coins show the horse on them. But his coinage showed more of a Greek style design, many coins using vines. Then during this time, the youngest brother, Eppillus, probably ruled Kent were most of his coins were found. From Eppillius coinage having his brother’s names on it, numismatics believe he probably ruled the Cantii area himself for a short period and then co ruled with his brother Verica over the Cantii and Atrebates. This is supported by the calliev mint mark on his coins. His coins where some of first British coins to have rex on them, he was first to have king on a British coin. His coinage is the most unique in there is not one
The U.S. penny has been a standard in our currency system for almost as long as our country has existed as a sovereign nation, but due to inflation, production costs, and the changing times we live in, it is no longer a sustainable unit of currency and only serves to increase our national deficit and waste our time. When the penny was produced for the first time in 1792 by the U.S. Mint, it was made of pure copper, featured a woman with flowing hair, and was inscribed with the words “Liberty”. Since then, the design and composition have changed numerous times to reflect our changing nation. Despite its fading glory, the penny has been kept alive by numerous false lobbying fronts and a stubborn ideology, but
Pennies, the most cogitated coin throughout economic America. Several admire them. Several hate them. However the populace who admire pennies also admire poisoned dogs, tax increases, and losing track of their money. In effect of those reasons, America should exclude the penny.
I was initially attracted to this piece because of how beautiful the horses are depicted. They’re shown with such great detail, despite it being a black figure painting, and represented as these huge, majestic beings that are being harnessed by such a small human figure. Black figure paintings were still common during this period of Ancient Greece but the style was dying out at the hands of the more detailed red figure painting style. This is an amphora, which was a prize given out at panathenaic competitions. Based on the content, this amphora was most likely given out for a horse race. On the opposite side of that show, Athena is depicted most likely waiting to crown the winner of the
Why do people hang on to things that have no value or use? Why can’t people learn to just let go? Often people think that just because an item has been around for a long time, that it needs to be treasured regardless of its worth. This is true of the Canadian penny. I think the Canadian government should eliminate the penny from circulation. The penny is not valuable to many Canadians anymore and we could make better use of the financial gains if we stopped making and using the penny.
The Penny is essentially a vital part of our money system. There has been many speculation about whether or not the United States should abolish the penny from being minted any longer. Although the penny has been a part of the American culture since 1787, it has such a small value, it will always be a part of American history. So as the years go on we should realize that the penny is everything to the United States. The penny should not be eliminated from the money system due to the fact that it is a part of the American culture and has earned its respect over the years.
The most important object is the cuirass that Augustus is wearing. It is covered with figures that communicate additional propagandistic messages. In the central of the cuirass, there are two figures, a Roman and a Parthian. On the left, the enemy Parthian returns military standards. This is a direct reference to an international diplomatic victory of Augustus in 20 BCE, when these standards were finally returned to Rome after a previous battle. Surrounding the central area, there are gods and personifications. At the top are Sol and Caelus, the sun and sky gods respectively. On the sides of the breastplate are female personifications of countries conquered by Augustus. These gods and personifications refer to the Pax Romana. The message is that the sun is going to shine on all regions of the Roman Empire, bringing peace and prosperity to all citizens. And of course, Augustus is the one who is responsible for this abundance throughout the Empire.

Third century Britannia had four operational mints under Carausius’ command. These mints were: Londoninium, Camulodunum, Rotomagus, and RSR. Of the 1,097 total coins recorded, 390 coins, or 36%, have either non-attributable mint markings or do not possess any marks. A proper analysis cannot simply ignore one-third of the sample size due to lack of regional affiliation. Therefore, these non-attributable coins will be considered as their own category, a mint without region, since they still possess relevant information to which Roman gods Carausius minted on his coins and his intended messages.
“I was beginning to learn that your life is a story told about you, not one that you tell.”
You have probably heard of challenge coins before. They are custom made coins that are frequently used in the military in order to create unity within a squadron or to reward certain achievements. However, you may not know the fact that these custom coins are also quite popular outside the military field. They are frequently used by social clubs, government institution and even corporations. Regardless of the context in which they are used, their purpose remains the same: to unite the members of a team. So, if you are the president of a social club or the manager of a team, you should definitely consider getting some customized challenge coins. There are many companies that produce them, but we personally recommend Max Challenge Coins. We have
How does a jury decide if someone is guilty or innocent? Both sides present evidence, and the magistrate has to delve into the evidence and decide what makes sense and what doesn’t, and uses the evidence to make a decision. When reading, evidence is given pointing to different aspects of the story, such as the antagonist, protagonist, theme, tone. ect. In the story, Oedipus Rex, the condemnation can fall many ways, but the evidence all points towards one thing, fate.

America has always been a place where people from all over the world have strived to travel in hopes of creating a better and more promising future for themselves. In today’s classrooms, teachers are experiencing the culture and language related effects of that endeavor. With an increasing amount of non-English speakers entering the country each year, the population of students who speak English as a second language or no English at all increases as well. Not only are these students entering with knowledge of another language but they also enter with the history of another culture. These students are taught and raised to love their traditional languages and cultures. To take these aspects away from them in order to make them understand our way of life is not fair nor is it educationally beneficial. Some say foreigners need to assimilate because they are entering our country and by trying to accommodate their tradition, schools will end up hurting American students’ educational progress. This is not found to be true in as many cases as one would think though. By incorporating home or second language and diverse cultural exploration in combination with Standard English and American culture into the classroom, all students will benefit in multiple areas of learning and life.
