This is my timeline about coming to the United States
My family and I came to the United States on November 18, 2010 as a lawful permanent resident sponsored by my grandmother. And because my brother and I was under 21 years of age, we’re qualify under the F33 requirements set out by the USCIS (U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services).
Now, I am petition for my fiancé Hoang Thi Nhu Y residing outside the United States and my son Ho Hoang Bach who is currently located at 1/8B Vuon Duong Street, Vinh Xuan Village, Vinh Thai Ward, Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province, Vietnam. At this time, I would like to told the story of how I met my wife.

Y has always been in my mind, so the first thing I did when I arrived in the City of Nha Trang,Vietnam was to meet up with Y. Because Y was on shift at the hospital that day, she schedule to meet up with me at the Khanh Hoa Province ‘general hospital entrance. From a far distance, I would a petite girl who is standing by the hospital gate wearing a ombre blouse with blue jeans, I would guess Y was waiting for me at that moment. Hesitant for a little bit, I decided to walk up to Y to meet with her like how i planned. After greetings, I invited Y’s to joined me at Quang(my high school friend) house for friend reunion party located on Phan Dinh Giot street. We have a great times at the party that I have the chance to reunite with many of my old friends. Because this was around Chinese Lunar New Year, everyone was on holiday break so we schedule to hangout with each other for a few times and record many picture that we all hope to be keep as memories.
After spending a month in Vietnam, I return to the United States on March 10th, 2015 to continue with my jobs.
During the month of October, 2015, I file for Affidavit of Single Status and Certificate of Non-marriage that was verified by the notary public and county clerk in my resident area. I completed this process through a Vietnam Foreign Ambassador located in San Francisco with the cost of $300.00.
I had always dreamed to study in the United States of America since it is an extreme case to a lot of people around the world to have a chance to earn education the USA. I am fortunate to have this chance and I value that extremely. I had many challenges and barriers when I decided to come here to the States but I was very focused to earn a degree from here and I over came them in order to make my dream comes true. When I came here moving with my family to attend college that was the hardest part of moving away from my parents and other members of the family and friends. Back home, I was always known as a very social active person among women groups. I used to participate a lot in women clubs and activities due to women segregation in the society
The day was finally here. It was November 11, 1990, the day that our family was to go to ¡®Land Of Liberty.¡¯ I heard so many different things about this country called United States of America and I was warned that it would be nothing you¡¯ve expected. The plane ride did not seem as long as it was; partly because I was lost in my own thoughts with hopes and anxiety. I thought about what I will become in this massive country I was headed and how soon I will adapt to this new culture and people.
Life is about making choices, but some of them can even change our life. Two years ago I decided to come to America for my higher studies in Western Kentucky University. Although I knew it was really a challenge to me, this significant decision that I’ve made was going to change everything about my life and me. There are many things in life that can change the course of a person’s life. It can either make a positive impact or a negative impact on a person’s life. It’s always best to have the positive impact though. For me I have had a positive experience that has changed my life forever and that is coming to a different land and culture.
Transitions are never an easy thing to conquer. It is often hard and stressful to cope with changes to one’s surrounding, but in the cases in which one manages to conquer this obstacle, elevation of knowledge and experience are great results gained from this achievement. I originally came from Africa and recently moved to the United States to join my mother and my step father. This great change in the things I had become accustomed to in my daily life was not easy, furthermore taking into account the fact that I had never experienced a transition so little as shifting from one residence to another.
There are events in life, which can change yourself or your way of thinking. As for me, I think the major change in my life occurred when I moved from France to America. This change has entirely affected my personality. Why? I arrived in the United States during the summer of 2002. It was really hard for me since my parents had only told me about the move in April of that year. Therefore, I did not have the time to prepare myself psychologically. My parents had talked about coming here for a very long time, even before I was born. Everything started in 1973. Indeed, my parents came from Iran to Europe in order to finish their studies and then to return back home. However, even at that time, they had not set their mind as to where they
There are many significant parts of my life that have had a huge impact on my personality, but there is one that has not only affected me, but has changed me for the better. My personal life changing experience was coming to America. For me, this bridge between my old life and new life is a shaky bridge that I attempted to cross and entered a whole new realm of life which changed everything. The decision about coming to America has taught me how to respect other people, be more responsible, and be more loving towards various friends and families. It has also helped me adapt to the new life that I’m about to begin. It was so unexpected. Out of nowhere my parents broke the news: “We’re going to America!” Living in a big town of Bhopal,
My story starts in the year of 2003, when I decided to follow up on my
I walked around unsteadily all day like a lost baby, far away from its pack. Surrounded by unfamiliar territory and uncomfortable weather, I tried to search for any signs of similarities with my previous country. I roamed around from place to place and moved along with the day, wanting to just get away and go back home. This was my first day in the United States of America.
People come to america, expecting somewhere they can better their lives, but in current circumstances, America is not a land of opportunity for immigrants, and women. There is the fact that It is difficult to have a good life in America for immigrants, Women in America don't have as much opportunity as women in other countries, and Immigrants don't have as much opportunity with job and economics as they should.
Imagine moving to a totally new country at the age of 16 without parents. Well, my grandma Lise, at the age of 16 moved to America from a little island located in the Pacific Ocean, called Micronesia. She moved to America with an American named Jim, because she was supposed to get married to him and he wanted her to move with him to America. So my grandma and Jim moved to America.
I believe that the ability to understand the world around you can tremendously influence a person. I have had the honors to experience many situations that broadened my perspectives in life. When I immigrated to America in 2006, I had no clue how greatly my education will be affected. Because my parents did not know any English, I had to accomplish all the work by myself. I understood their struggles of trying to put dinner on the table so I tried not to complain. They had given up their old life in Vietnam to give me a better education and opportunities, I did not want their effort to go in vain. Through my whole academic career, I pushed myself to do everything to my fullest potential because I have been given the opportunity that many other
Supposedly, the history of Vietnamese immigration to the United States is “relatively recent.” (Povell) Prior to 1975, most Vietnamese residing in the US were wives and children to American servicemen in Vietnam.
Vietnam Fact Sheet Date: Nov. 1, 1955-Apr. 30, 1975 BACKGROUND: Prior to World War II, the French had controlled most of Indochina, and Vietnam. Once Japan lost the war, they left the country in 1945 which led to the French wanting control of Vietnam again. Vietnam wanted to pursue a communist way of living since China had become a communist country in 1949. Ho Chi Minh, a national leader, had declared Vietnam an independent country. Minh’s leaders declared a war against the French, and the country was soon divided after the French lost the battle at Dien Bien Phu.
As I got on the plane I knew my life was changed. The moment when I entered the US it was a new beginning for me. As most migrants would say; this is the land of opportunities, it was totally what I expected.
Immigration to the United States has been happening since the Mayflower landed at Plymouth Rock in 1492. America is one of the most diverse nations in the world, attracting people from every corner of the globe in hopes of a better way of life. America in the past has relied on migrant workers to balance the economies growth when internal resources have been exhausted; moreover, the agriculture business has depended on the seasonal employment of migrant workers from Mexico to meet the labor demand. Programs have been created in the past granting work contracts for the flood of Mexican labor into the United States, and new work programs are being analyzed to suffice the needs of
