Saving My Sister
“Come on!” “Catch Up!” “Bet you can’t beat me!” I yelled to my sister as we rode our bikes home from the market. I speed off losing sight of her and even when I heard a distant scream coming from behind me I kept pedaling. I was going to beat her!
When I finally got home she was nowhere in sight. I waited five, ten, fifteen minutes, for her to come. I knew I was faster than her but, she would normally be home by now. I began to get really worried and anxiety rushed over me. I got back on my bike and peddled down the road and to the market. She wasn 't there. She might have not known it but she was my only friend. I felt tears stream down my face. I yelled her name “Fauna!” “Fauna!”and asked everyone I saw if the had knew

I was slowly gaining consciousness! I was shocked when I opened my eyes to the grassy floor of the forest. I expected to wake up in my warm bed. I lifted my head and saw three strange people.
They were dressed in dark cloaks the color of the night sky on a rainy day. Their appearance was intriguing as I could only see their yellow eyes that looked like tiny black holes into another universe.
They stared at me and I stared back. This went on for thirty seconds then one of them slapped me in the face. “Oowww!” I cried in pain. I tried to stand to my feet and the second one slapped me. “Oowww!” I yelped as I fell backward from the impact of this creatures cold long fingers to my face.
After a minute of them just staring at me they started talking amongst themselves using their unpleasant voices in a language I didn 't understand. The bickering ended in about five minutes and they started staring at me again. Who are these people? Why are they here? Where is my sister?
The third one finally started to talk in an old english dialect that was barely understandable. From what I understood the the creatures were called the Fates and they came to stop me from saving my sister. They spoke of a huge timeline rupture that could affect everyone for the worse if I saved her. They told me that it was my choice. How could my sister rupture the space time continuum? What could she ever do? She could never do anything bad. She was too innocent. I needed to bring her back. These
Parents spending the majority of their time with a sick child, often leave their other children to take care of themselves.Parents can tend to focus entirely on one child when the others are in need. I have thought of this daughter only in terms of what she will be
So, now suddenly I was in an entirely new environment and scared out of my mind. I could see all of my dreams crashing and burning right before my eyes.
For the longest time it never occurred to me that I actually did have a mother. The facts I had just weren't enough, I needed more evidence.
For once I felt the sudden need to be near other people, so I headed for the door quickly. The street was deserted. Strewn across the road were all my belongings. Why were they here and not in my cardboard box where I slept in Well Street? Who had done this? Were they thieves? Not that I had much to steal. I began gathering everything up. My blankets had been shredded. There were dents in things, bits pulled off other things and generally messed with. Even the things that used to be usefully were destroyed. Why would anyone even bother to do this? As I looked at my surroundings I began to feel a little disorientated. The ground seemed to move. Then I felt distinctly uneasy. Was he back? At a distance I thought I could see people so I hurried in their direction but they never seemed to get nearer. At once, I was then surrounded by them! No faces! They’ve got no faces! I closed my eyes and when I opened them the people were gone. I suddenly felt as if I was being watched. I glanced around furtively and out of the corner of my eye I thought I saw a lion! I screamed but it was gone. As I again looked around I thought I could see dozens of pairs of eyes behind every window staring at me malevolently. I turned and ran. Breathlessly, I re-entered the church and slammed the door behind me.
Waking in a startle, I sat up in my bed... checking my surroundings.... fearful that I was not alone...

I woke up looking around not knowing what was going on. I looked around realizing that I was in an unknown bed. Panicking at first I tried to find my bearings, but I calmed down quickly as I watched my mother walk into the room.
Slowly, I awoke to see looming trees all around me, bending over me, watching. Listening. They heard the screams, they heard my screams, I was still screaming. I clamped a trembling hand down over my mouth to only realize it was closed, my lips rolled in. And then thick as velvet. The blood pooled.
