I am a graduating UC Berkeley student who came across the Research Analyst position when I met with Equilar employees at the UC Berkeley Career Fair, and I am excited to submit my application. Seeing that my professional experiences, knowledge, skills, and abilities align with the qualifications of this position, I believe that I would make great contributions as a Research Analyst for Equilar. I have many transferable skills that are essential for being an effective Research Analyst. As a professional and a student, I managed multiple projects simultaneously while collaborating effectively with a diverse team. For instance, as Acacia Fraternity’s Director of Philanthropy and Community Service, I coordinated philanthropy events while balancing a rigorous academic workload. When planning events, such as our chapter’s annual toy drive, I directly managed members, paid close attention to detail, and partnered with toy store managers. Moreover, I have gained analytical and problem-solving knowledge from the classroom. My coursework in financial accounting, computing with data, and econometrics has deepened my understanding of how to interpret quantitative and qualitative data, which is essential for building industry knowledge and breaking down data found in SEC filings. Lastly, I was able to multitask and produce high quality work in a fast-paced environment as a student recruitment assistant for UC Berkeley Campus Shared Services, where I recruited students via various social media platforms and partnered with my fellow colleagues to execute other outreach strategies. …show more content…
