At first, when I registered for the acting class, I expected something entirely different than what the class turned out to be. My initial thoughts were that there would exist costumes to wear and various lines to memorize, which didn’t developed to be the case. While, I’m blue the class didn’t turn out the manner I expected I’m also pleased. This different class approach to what I envisioned, was the needed foundation I didn’t want but needed. As an actor I have grown and have obtained many techniques to perform in the future. Previously to registering, I was extremely reserved and distrustful. One time before class, I threw my back out and rotating my neck left and my left arm was continuously met with severe resistance. Once I stepped into class and began slowly working the three layer technique, it slowly allowed for my muscles to loosen up, removing the tension in my back. I dealt with severe anxiety and previously been occupied on it and was making great strides before I started acting 101 this semester. Nevertheless I realized my anxiety helped me be one closer to my inner weirdo. When I went out with friends to drink formerly to loosen up and dance, I required a drink. Conversely, I learned I don’t have to be extremely reserved and expect a drink to loosen me up. Intro to acting showed me the opportunity on how to release the inner weirdo at the time of my choosing. I didn’t practice abundantly the techniques outside of class with the exception of the subway crowd one. As a New Yorker, I typically learned how to maneuver my way around the subway stations or city streets. As well as performing close calls, although one should be weary on who they performed these close
