William Shakespeare is one of the most known authors in plays and poetry. One of his most famous plays was “The Tragedy of Macbeth”. In this play the main character is Macbeth, obviously, but Lady Macbeth, his wife, was also a big part in this play as well. In the play Lady Macbeths motives makes her fall apart piece, by piece, by piece. And because they made her crumble, she tragically takes her own life near the end of the play, and because of this big step, people look upon her as crazy and ask themselves why? The motives that led Lady Macbeth to want her husband to kill Duncan with her, was because she wanted her husband to be a successful king. When Macbeth got back from war, she decided to become very vicious and decide she wanted to be the most murderous, most brave, most raw killer anyone has ever seen. “unsex me here, and fill me from the crown to the toe top-full of direct cruelty! At first, she doesn’t care what she wanted done, she just wanted it done. Later on, she realizes that what she did, was a big mistake. The guilt starts to eat her up every night, and torture her. She starts to sleep walk and go to sink and wash her hands of Duncan's blood, and she talks to Macbeth. One night, as she is sleeping an attendant notices her, and calls the doctor to inspect her, and she spills everything to them, and they are baffled. “Here’s the smell of blood still: All the perfumes of arabia will not sweeten this little hand. O, O, O!” “Wash your hands, put on your nightgown; look not so pale: I tell you yet again, Banquo’s buried; he cannot out on’s grave” (pg.60). After that The doctor and gentlewomen think she is insane. Lady Macbeth slowly goes crazy. Macbeth becomes the raw, dangerous, no remorse, killer.
