Bibliography on Leadership Developing a Culturally Competent Health Network: A Planning Framework and Guide Cultural competency in Healthcare is increasing drastically due to a number of factors. These factors include changing demographic, quality of improvements, regulatory requirements, care missions and accreditation standards. To effectively facilitate any organization, strategic goals and objectives should be established. They should be established with the provision of patient care in mind. Strategic planning implementation go through a process that consist of teams achieving the specific objectives and purposes that have been put into place by the organization. (Gertner, E. 2010) Eight Rules for Developing Effective Messages As a leader, thinking before speaking has great value. Leaders should develop eight rules to assist them in relaying effective messages to staff. When developing the message include stories that support the message. The message should support the mission and goal of the organization. The information that is being relayed should be clearly understood by other members of the team. The leaders strive to provide teams that support other members during direct care. It is helpful to empower the staff with skills that are helpful in transforming stressful situations into more therapeutic efficient situations.
