Music can improve mood, increase intelligence, and enhance learning and concentration. Music has become a fundamental part of the world and daily lives (Hanser). Therefore, what are the positive effects of music on the human brain and human health?
Music can decrease the risk of heart attacks and strokes. Music has been founded to lower blood pressure and it can make changes in the autonomic nervous system. This helps to create relaxation response, which counteracts the damaging effects of chronic stress. Music contributes to the release of endorphins, which are protein molecules produced by the nervous system that works with sedative receptors in the brain. They improve mood, boost the immune system, reducing disorders symptoms (Supnet). Music has powerful positive effect on the functioning of human body. Music therapy is popular and effective way of treating different health problems, “music has long been used in health care for its healing powers and has given rise to the practice of music therapy” (Supnet).
