The GDP in poland is 1.051 trillion dollars and has been remained relatively steady since 2010. There is a fairly low unemployment rate at 6.2% in Poland compared to Canada's 6.9%. The main reason for this rise is because of the persistent demand of a policy of economic liberalization throughout the 90’s.
Productive Sector
The automotive industry is one of the biggest means of production in Poland, accounting for 11% of their industrial productions. Before WWII, Poland's industrial sector consisted mostly of coal, textile, chemical, and iron. It now includes items such as fertilizers, petrochemicals, and machine tools. In 2012, the PKN Orlen, located in Poland, was the biggest company in terms of sales in central Europe, providing jobs for over 24,000 people. In poland, there are not many small and medium businesses compared to other countries in the European Union. They have 1.9 businesses for every 1,000 citizens. The role of small and medium businesses is very important in the Polish economy just like it is in every economy, meaning they need new companies to challenge each other thus creating the most efficient economy.
Trade
Poland has a balance of trade (the difference in value between a country's imports and exports) of 2 billion, 100 million dollars. As Poland is included in the European Union, they have a common external tariff that applies for all goods coming from outside of the country. The main import for Poland comes from the US, mostly shipping capital good’s to help with industrial retooling. The major exports of Poland are machinery, more specifically,

One country is comparable to the United States of America in terms of world power and prominence. During World War II, non-Jewish Poles had to decide whether to obey the new laws in German occupied Poland. These new laws greatly affected how people would act in German occupied Poland. The consequences for breaking the laws were very severe and would often result in harm to your family. But people still broke them for no other reason for the fact that the laws were wrong. They helped Jews even though it wasn't allowed by the government. Citizens responded to the laws passed by the state during the German occupation of Poland in many different ways this impacting history.

Ukraine is granted a market economy status by the EU and USA. The sharp economic decline in the 90s resulted in deteriorating living standards for most citizens and widespread poverty. However, during the 21st century, there has been some positive economic growth in Ukraine, as well as Eastern Europe as a whole. Ukraine’s currency, the Hryvnia, was introduced in September 1996 and has remained relatively stable. The unstable political situation in Ukraine hardly influences its economic development. GDP has been growing steadily since 2005 at an average growth rate of 7% and industrial production has been expanding by 12%. The Ukrainian economy was hit by the harsh effects of the global financial crisis but managed to attain a 4.2%

In all recent elections, the economy has been a major topic for the candidates and public. This opportunity to pick our nation’s leader requires individuals to understand where their candidate feels the economy is headed and how they intend to correct it. GDP is a useful tool to determine, over time, the amount of growth in our economy. As changes occur in the GDP, they are reflected in the business cycle. The business cycle will have ups and downs, although the trend of GDP is typically upward. Without a measurement tool like real GDP, it would be difficult to determine output growth amounts affecting our nation’s decisions. Government policies can be put into place to help stimulate the economy; therefore, voters should consider economic platforms when choosing a presidential candidate to support. It is an exciting time in our nation with the upcoming presidential election and voters should work to understand basic economic terms to ensure they vote for the presidential candidate they believe will positively impact our
When you think of Holocaust rescuers you might think of Oskar Schindler, Carl Lutz, Feng-Shan Ho, Raoul Wallenberg, etc. When you think of World War II rescuers most people do not think of Władysław Bartoszewski. Interestingly enough Władysław accomplished many amazing feats in his entire adult life and received many awards.
On September 1, 1939 Germany invaded Poland to start the biggest war all mankind has ever seen. A man named Adolf Hitler led a group called the Nazi's. He convinced those men that Jewish people had ruined the world and caused Germany's downfall after World War One. They were also against people like gypsies, criminals, or anyone they thought were undesirable. Soon after the Germans started, Japan and Italy joined to help their cause. As the war went on the Nazi party grew bigger and stronger and countries started fighting back, but the Nazi's were to strong. Then one day Japan bombed Pearl Harbor and just like that Americans were in the war. That day we became mortal enemies with all of Japan, and we weren't going to hold back on them.
It was quite a shock when Ukraine was voted, along with Poland, a host country for Euro 2012 in 2007: could the championship really be held in this eastern European country, a former Soviet state, lacking a good infrastructure and an efficient administration? Nevertheless, the country started the preparations of the biggest sporting event it has yet organised. Only the future can tell us whether the transformation has been successful, but the assignment was not completely random, as Ukraine has been described as a “frontrunner” in Europeanisation, when compared to the oth-er countries in the Eastern Partnership. It is obvious that the proximity of the country to the EU plays an important role in this. The highly mobile population is
