A user’s profile may be accessed by “friends” of the user or the public. Another similar social media website, Twitter, also allows its users access to other users’ profiles. Typically, when someone tweets, they mention what they are doing, where they are, or what is on their mind. Twitter enables people to track the lives of those who they follow. These social media websites oblige you to provide your personal information in order to belong to one of these sites. If you do not provide the required information, then you are not allowed to be a member of the site. Since most people find it more important to be accepted by social media, they are willing to surrender their personal information. By providing Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. with your confidential information, it gives them the power of control.
