From the PowerPoint “Thinking Critically about Elections in Texas” it says that in 2014 only 33.4 percent of all eligible voters exercised their right to vote. This means that Texas has a very low voting rate, which can affect Texas in the long run. Why is it that Texas has such a low voting turnout? Why are people not participating? The same PowerPoint suggest that maybe it is because of the vast number of elections or maybe when they schedule voting times. There is being millions of dollars spent on campaigns and such to get the word out and get people involved but Texas voters are still not voting!

In the UK, the 2010 election cost $75m, far less than America’s numbers which the two candidates combined can easily reach the billions. My Slogan would be “Light the hope to every edge”. This slogan means to support and stand out for people of all race, sexuality, nationality and give them a beacon of life and hope to achieve the freedom in their life. The edges and corners are often too dark for others to see. They are suppressed, and their voices are out of reach. I want to be able to stand out for all those hidden rims and work with all the people to make my district a better place lawfully.

There are many fulfilling careers that would fit accordingly in my life, but politics has never come across my mind. Even though politics and government duties affect my everyday life, I have not pursued that career path thus far. However, what if I were to come across the opportunity to run for either a Texas House Representative member for Senate of Texas? To start off, both positions deal with endless amounts of legislature responsibilities and stress, but I would most likely pursue to be a member of the Texas House of Representatives. The first obvious reason would be the qualifications; one must be 21 years of
As individuals, we turn towards political parties to identify with a group that has the most in common with our own values and principals. Each political party’s agenda focuses on the primary interests affiliated with that party and is motivated to enact its beliefs and interests through legislation by electing officials into government. Texas is a large state with four political parties: Republican, Democratic, Green Party, and Libertarian. Each political party has a basic fundamental ideology and platform on current issues. In the movie “The Candidate” I thought that the film was very interesting to me, being a person that has never been interested in politics. I found it interesting even though I am not for sure if this is the way that campaigns are run now. I thought it was nice to see how some candidates may be chosen, especially in this film because he was not expected to win the election. He was not even interested in politics although his father was once governor. The film showed how the campaign was ran and managed by his advisors. Although not expected to win the election, he somehow
False promises are key to getting your audience to vote for you. Claim you want do the best for everyone but in reality it is all about you winning. One great example is to attempt to promise the ability for people to leave school during lunch. This is excellent because it is what the people want but obviously there is no way the republicans will let anything through the senate. The hype train is important for people to win you would want the to be derailed. This can be done by focusing upon the young and naive as the will are likely to believe whatever you say so add a few hype men to their ranks and easy votes are gained. The plan would influence them to want to vote for as it seems popular. Quantity not quality of vote matters. On that note it is important you stand fresh and trendy, try something like this, check my lit instagram for some fire photos or damn (somebody's name, don’t actually say somebody's name use the name of the person ur trying to target) back at it again with the dank memes. This makes seem like an ordinary peasent but in reality they are nothing to you.
