The Shots Heard Around the World

It was an eventful evening in the fabulous city of Las Vegas, Nevada . The nightlife was blooming, the people were exploring, and the celebrities were enjoying their freetime in casinos, concerts, or a boxing match. One of the most famous rappers was attending the match on September 13, 1996. If you were born before the new century, then you might have heard about what events took place that night. One this unfaithful night, rapper Tupac Shakur was attending a boxing match with his friend Suge Knight. They just got done watching Bruce Seldon attempt to take on “Iron” Mike Tyson, as they head out of the arena in their BMW, a man approaches the car and guns down Tupac. There are many speculations on why the blood turned bad, but the most logical answer is when Tupac was shot the first time. On November 30, 1994, Tupac and his crew went to to record an album. In the same building, several floors above where Pac was jumped, robbed, and shot, Biggie Smalls and Puff Daddy were recording a music video. Tupac and his friend Freddie were about to board onto the elevator when they were approached by three men. Tupac immediately reached for his gun when the other men pulled out their weapons. They shot him in the leg, sending Tupac to the ground, where they snatched his jewelry are shot him a couple more times. Biggie and his crew knew that Tupac was in the building and didn’t bother to even come down and see what happened. Pac, while in the hospital, is charged with sodomy. Once he recovered, Tupac was sent to prison where he would serve a short sentence. He was livid at Christopher for never visiting his “friend” while he was down. Another slap to the face for Pac was when Bad Boy Records started to make jokes about the rapper and the full on hatred started once Biggie released the song titles, “Who Shot Ya”. Tupac got out and immediately responded with a track titles, “Hit Em Up”. Now that this rivalry was set up, it was pretty obvious that these were just gang attacks on each other.
