Stem Paper: What technologies does Nasa use to explore Mars?

The topic I chose to talk about and research was what technologies does Nasa use to explore mars. I hope to find out alot about mars and the technologies that Nasa uses to explore the planet.
There has been a bunch of missons to the great red planet Mars but the first missons were usually a failure exploding shortly after takeoff. There were many successes though like how the mariner missions and the Viking missions where Nasa finally landed a spacecraft on top of another planet. In this paragraph I will tell you all about these two sets of missons and there progression for the Nasa industry. These two sets of missions are gunna be the only one’s I talk about because I don’t want to bore all of you more then I have too. Mariner 3 and 4 were the most identical rockets designed to carry out the first fly overs of Mars.

The distance from mars to earth is constantly changing though kinda like when there is two cars on a racetrack racing, Earth and Mars orbits the sun at different speeds, because earth is closer to the sun so its like it has the inside lane all the time so it has less distance to go. So the Earth orbits the sun alot more quickly then Mars does because Mars is alot farther away. So its like Mars is stuck in the outside lane making it longer for Mars to orbit the sun then earth. Plus the Earth and Mars both have elliptical orbits instead of having perfect circles. Elliptical orbits are when a small mass orbits a larger mass in space along a elliptical path, the large body being located at one of the ellipse center of activity. The two bodies with the same or similar mass orbiting by a common barycenter. A barycenter is the center of mass in this case the sun where two or some more bodies or planets orbit each other by the point in which they both are orbiting
Originally, the mission was planned to consist of two spacecraft to orbit Mars, the Mariner 8 and the Mariner 9. However, when Mariner 8 was launched on May 9, 1971, it failed to launch properly and crashed in the Atlantic Ocean about 350 miles north of Puerto Rico. NASA then combined the mission objectives of Mariner 8 (mapping 70% of the Martian surface) and Mariner 9 (studying temporal changes in the Martian atmosphere and on the surface).
A topic I find extremely engaging is that of the Criminal Justice field. The technology that has been developed over the years to solve cases is extremely interesting and sometimes it is hard to believe how new some of the technology really is. Take Gel Electrophoresis for example. Gel Electrophoresis uses electricity to separate out different DNA fragments by their size as they move through a gel matrix and was created in the 1970s. Gel Electrophoresis allows for investigators to take DNA from a crime scene and to process it to get a simplistic visualization of the DNA collected which they can then compare to the DNA samples of the different suspects. Joyce Meyer once said, “Discipline is your friend, not your enemy.” Throughout history, parents have used this ideology to ensure children obey and respect authority. Ray Bradbury used his story, “The Veldt”, to make the point that discipline is essential for proper growth in adolescence. He believes that if parents do not discipline their children, it will lead to their demise. In the story, when the parents, Lydia and George, do not discipline their children, Wendy and Peter, the children lost respect for their parents.
Mars is the planet that is most similar to earth for various reasons like similar seasonal patterns.
The MARs project failed on day one. There where multiple issues raised immediately after MAR’s was released. This caused a concern for patients at the hospital due to prescription mix ups. The system became overloaded and was brought down shortly after being released.

When mars is ion the perihelion, which is the closest point to the sun; mars is at its fastest point. This in turn creates varying seasons on mars, than it does on earth. On mars every six months the seasons change on mars, for example winter lasts 146 days, summer lasting 199 days, and fall and spring last 171 days. In conclusion, our process to discover mars has just begun, scientists might have to invent some new options to bring our abilities up to space level. Exploring Mars is definitely one of the biggest challenges scientists will ever face, simply because there are so many obstacles we are facing, and preparing for the trip has taken a lot more time than was expected by NASA in 1969. I personally think that we at least need about 2 or more decades so scientists will be able to find better options and invent more useful and helpful ideas. President John F. Kennedy said: “We choose to go to the moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard”. Our mission to the moon is not as easy as it was thought would be, scientists need a lot more time and management to this particular problem. During the past, the organization has rapidly acquired a number changes that has created an opportunity to expand and improve Knowledge Management (KM). Similar to many other important organizations, NASA has frequently pursued ways to capture knowledge into their information systems assuming that it could be managed best when it 's captured in a system for later retrieval. In the past 10 years, the budgets on their missions have been reduced, missions have multiplied ten-fold, and scientists and engineers have been overwhelmed by the extreme challenges. The most important factors that are addressed includes the importance of learning, (FBC) faster, better, cheaper implications, and knowledge management that supports innovation in the future.
The first is the realization of an amazing dream! Sending a manned mission to Mars is a fantastic adventure. Imagine living on another planet, millions of miles from the Earth; looking up into the sky with the knowledge that one of the 'stars' is actually the planet you were born on. Who can even envision the incredible feeling of being the first human in history to step out of the capsule and leave your footprint on the surface of Mars? Weight loss and healthy life style can not be achieved with out combining exercise and a healthy diet. Eating poorly is a habit that can set you on a course for a unhealthy future. If exercise is the only thing that changes when attempting to find a healthier state of body, then the toxins that you eat will continuously harm your body. If you eat healthy but do not exercise, then your muscles will remain weak, including your heart and lungs. If a healthy life style is the goal then there must be a series of small goals. With the small goals in place you can ignore the over all goal and make incremental steps toward it. I want to eventually achieve physical wellness ,so I have set a goal that will kick start my journey. Essentially I want to delete all of the habits that are in the way of my goal. That may include TV, bored eating, fast food trips, drinking coke’s and a hand full of other habits. That is only the first step toward my over all goal of a healthy lifestyle. The next step toward physical wellness is preparing my meals and pre packaging them. Eating incrementally smaller meals through out the day is also a good habit. I can start to exercise habitually. If I can get to sleep on time then I can wake up and exercise and jumpstart my metabolism. In order to track my progression I plan to weigh my self at the beginning of each week Seeing and feeling results is all that comes next. This will reduce the random eating through out the day.
