I would like to join the Harvard community of law School because I am willing to help others that need help. I am also able to interpret for the deaf, also able to help others when they need help by tutoring them, I am very good with the laws and what I need to know the laws. I live in Townsend Delaware with my Mother and Pennsville New Jersey with my Father. With my father, i have worked in the fire service helping people learn so that they can get a good education in the fire service. I have volunteered with my father in the fire service for the past 14 years. If I get accepted into law school I would be good because I am capable of being in advanced sign language. I have been in American sign language for the past 7 years learning and …show more content…
I have worked for toys for tots for the past 3 years. In my early years, I have been a hard worker that gives my all and more, my business that is rapidly growing throughout the years have been a hard-working career that has given me many of chances to explore the working life.
Thought school I have always been interested in learning about my Amendments, The Constitution and my rights as an American citizen. Thought school I would stay after so I could get more practice in for the laws when I get older. Throughout school social studies was always my favorite study lessons. I would get tested on laws and Amendments and pass them without a problem.in my future, I have always wanted to work for the service even if that had meant being a police officer or a firefighter or even in the military.
In school, I would help the teachers by staying after school and help tutor the kids by giving them lessons on ASL or social studies because that was what I was good at. Sometimes I would stay after and help the teachers by giving them lessons plans for the next couple of days or I would help them teach the lesson. Or I would stay and help grade them on test or quizzes and their paperwork. I was the teacher's pet in middle school. In 7th grade, I would stay up for lunch and help my teacher Mr.Reph help plan his daily schooling and he would offer me to stay doing his periods to help teach them.
If I get into Harvard Law School I will be best of the best
I assisted the teacher by keeping track of community service hours, scheduling tutors to come into the Math Center on specific days to tutor, and helped create the advertisement for the Math Center.
Noted authors, Brandon Chambers, is quoted saying, “If you are going to fear anything fear success. Think about what you are doing and when you succeed what life you will have.” There are several different reasons why I could stay home, work and not go to college; I could go to work every day and make more money for the house, it’s easier, and I would be less stressed. Now, on the other hand there are many reasons why I should go to school; such as further my education, make my family proud, and make myself proud. I am attending college for several different reasons. One reason is to further my education. I hate feeling like I don’t know something, I like being the person everyone comes to for information. Also, because I want to
I became a tutor at the primary school, with the ESL students. I would help out with the first graders, and do some one-on-one with each of them to work on more specific things. I also became a translator again, but this time with more of an impact. I was a translator for parents, during parent teacher conferences whenever needed. When I was given this opportunity to help the parents, I was thrilled. I remembered when my mother had suffered through having to talk to another adult with difficulty, and to understand what they were telling her. I couldn't be of use to help my mother then, but with this opportunity I could do a service for
Aristotle once said, “The law is reason, free from passion.” Aristotle might have been on to something, since he is one of the all-time great thinkers. However, I would disagree with him on this legendary quote. The quote should sound something like this; “The law is passion, with reason sprinkled in.” We are on this earth to find our passions and pursue them one hundred percent, with full confidence. If I told you my greatest passion was law; this wouldn’t be the truth. My passion is helping others. My passion has come from an early age and has seemed to grow throughout my years at college along with my first job. In college, I volunteered to be a part of a program called Freshmen Connections. This sparked my passion once again. My main jobs
School was a place where I could leave the dysfunctional atmosphere I live in and nothing took my mind off of my hardships like sports, music, and community service. To avoid the life I lived when school was over, I would learn new instruments and play different sports. I even began to participate in restoring Seattle parks every Saturday with a group called Earth Corps through a non-profit organization called Global Visionaries. I learned leadership skills and met people that changed my life for the better. I realized that there were many things I could do that would allow me to learn and give back to the community and at the same time allow me to escape from my
One of my first volunteering positions growing up was at a local elementary school assisting children in core math and reading subjects. Not only did I help the students but I also helped the teacher with grading and developing new assignments. This experience gave me great insight into how one can effectively explain education materials to young children.
Freshman year during my lunch period, I had decided to participate in technology squad to assist those unfamiliar with software applications such as PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Google Docs. Also I was responsible to assign laptops out to students who needed them. When I heard of EMT Club, I automatically joined because I wanted to learn more on what it takes to become an EMT. I handed out candy grams to raise money for the ambulance corps and got to listen to current medical technicians that provided an overview of their responsibilities. In addition I attended a first aid class and got certified, so I can lend a helping hand in an emergency. Outside of school in the Fair Lawn Jewish Center Religious School, I helped students learn the hebrew alphabet and planned activities that would keep them engaged.
There might be a time where people ask you, “why are you in college” or “why to decide to go to college.” People might reply by saying that they want a degree, that they want a higher paying job, or they need that for a future career that they are pursuing. Those responses are the most typical reason of why people go to college. Sure you can say that having a degree means that a person can get a better job with better pay rather than working in the manual labor fields with minimum pay. A college degree is the fundamental stepping stone to the future, it lays the foundation of where to start. College is everything to me; I’m in college so I’m able to unlock more potential in myself, to be able to make my mother proud with everything that she has done and hopefully becoming the first.
I became the teachers’ helper. I stayed afterschool twice a week while my brother was at boy scouts and helped Mrs. Clapp grade papers. I spent hours grading papers, photo copying papers for her, and even doing extra homework in her classroom. The memories that I have working with her are some of my favorites. When I think about her, I think about how kind she was to let me help.
Attending law school is paramount for an individual like me. I also find it a great
Throughout my entire life--or, only as much of it as I can remember--my family struggled financially, as we still do. I had become so accustomed to my family’s penny-pinching tendencies that I would constantly compare prices whenever I went to the grocery store to see if I could find a cheaper price.
The career I have chosen is to become a lawyer, in either a private practice or firm, or for the government. The definition of a lawyer is an advocate or advisor in society, that is as an advocate, to represent one of the opposing parties in a criminal or civil trial, and as an advisor to counsel clients as to their legal rights and suggest courses of action. But that is not all a lawyer is about. Being a lawyer takes hard work, dedication, and many years in school.
While I was working as Student worker, I assisted Professors in grading and proctoring exams, and run papers in Scantron Machine. I also helped international students register courses at the beginning of every semester.
The main reason why I wanted to study Law was the importance it takes in the world. Law builds civilization, protect fundamental rights and protect ideas and inventions through patenting. Anyone can defend his or her right through the legal system. Law can bind an agreement to allow an aircraft to fly from country A to country B. Law is continuously relevant in many context including banking, construction, sports, land, media, commerical, human rights etc. And this excites me more, as it is very broad and in my perspective not going to be repetitive or dull.
In this essay I will identify the reason I want to continue my education through Spring Arbor University. I am currently a registered nurse in an emergency department and have been for almost 6 years. I have been in charge of the unit many times and have enjoyed teaching others. I would like to advance my degree for multiple reasons. The primary reason is that a Master’s degree is distinguishable and shows commitment to the field of nursing. Furthermore, it shows dedication and motivation of an individual to complete a degree that only about ten percent of nurses are able to accomplish.
