It is now October 2017, ten months since Sheriff Hayden was sworn in as the Sheriff of Johnson County. It has been a long ten months since Sheriff Hayden was sworn in as the Sheriff of Johnson County. Reflecting back over the past several months, significant changes occurred, both positive and negative. I finalized my grievance against Captain O’Donnell and prepared to formally submit it to the Sheriff via my chain of command, Major Pfannenstiel. Ironically, the morning I prepared to submit the grievance, Sheriff Hayden reassigned numerous command staff members to other assignments. Two of the reassignments were positive for me and the division as Captain O’Donnell and Captain Levin were moved out of the Personnel Division. Along …show more content…
As it was, my frustration level reached its peak and I told Major Pfannenstiel I was ready to formally submit the grievance as even though he had previously instructed Captain O’Donnell to include me in communications, she continued her pattern of not doing so. As it was, after Major Pfannenstiel gave Major Reed a brief update of what had been taking place, Major Reed indicated he would handle the problem. While I did not partake in the conversation, within 30 minutes Major Reed had a two hour meeting with Captain O’Donnell. From her facial expression as she left the meeting, I could tell things did not go well for her and all Major Reed shared with me is that Captain O’Donnell was given very clear and specific instructions that she was not allowed to have any communication with the Personnel staff, other than Captain Newson. Thus, I begin a new chapter in Personnel with a new captain and a major I have worked previously worked for. As this new chapter is moving forward I’m forced to contemplate and evaluate what goals I aspire to achieve before my career in law enforcement comes to a conclusion. A few years back, I would have proclaimed being promoted to captain was my top goal although I no longer believe that to be the case. With where I am at in my career and the time I have left, I’m focused

My vison for positive social change within my professional goal is to improve community policing in our society to reflect the evolving changes of the 21st Century. Elders in a family often tell youngsters stories of their past. Moreover, Steven Zeitlin, Amy Kotkin, and Holly Cutting Baker, assert in “Family Stories” that “Family stories are usually based on real incidents which become embellished over the years” (10). These stories tend to change as people age and experience various situations. Canfield’s short story “Sex Education” depicts Aunt Minnie, a woman who faced a traumatic sexual experience as a teenager, telling her story to an audience of younger generations at three different stages of her life; each account is told in a different manner as she experiences various situations that involve sexuality, namely
The queries regarding blocking of websites were in the wake of the government's recent directions to block twitter handles of prominent journalists and commentators who were critical of the government's policies. Under the Constitution, the Government cannot muzzle free speech except if a reasonable restriction is imposed in order to preserve the sovereignty and integrity of the country, national security, friendly relations with foreign States, public order, decency or morality, or in relation to contempt of court, defamation or incitement to an offence (Article 19(2) of the Constitution).
Ohashi swiveled the screen around so everyone at the table could eat while they watched the five vids: Scarlett hanging all over Clay Bryant. Row upon row of cryopods stacked in a dungeon. Governor Bryant’s speech centered on his reelection, finishing with a request for their financial support. Rushing in a black gown embracing the governor. Clay leaving with Scarlett and Rushing.
The Claimant constantly informed senior management in the respondent organisation of the steps being taken by the Professors to undermine his role to a considerable degree. Since the matter could not be resolved amicably the claimant pursued the formal grievance procedure. The Claimant wrote a grievance letter to the Dean of his School, on the 21/01/08. On the 22/01/08 PD wrote to JD informing him of the Claimant’s formal complaint against PW and the others.
The sky was dark with clouds, a heavy atmosphere permeating the air. Skyscrapers stretch into all directions, and a certain rooftop makes a perfect place for one dashingly handsome man to hide. Sprawled across the ground, our stunning protagonist watches and waits for the perfect opportunity to strike, perfectly sculpted muscles shining in the light rain that had begun to fall from the sky. If there had been any onlookers they would have gasped in awe at how beautiful and awesome he was, how alluringly magnificent, how-
Phenix slid between one matte shadow and the next, retracing his steps through the garden, putting distance between him and the cenobite. The wind was in his favor, drifting across his face, his mind on Kalyssandra. He hungered for another taste of her blossom-kissed lips, wanted to sip and bite lips reminding him of the dark-fleshed fruit, planned to do so before this night ended. In truth, he intended tasting every delectable inch of the soul harvester.
During the meeting with the administrators, which Tabby was not supposed to attend, Betty was supposed to update her colleague and junior worker in order to improve their service provision at the front office. However, Betty could purposely forget to update Tabby, making her look incompetent. In other instances, Betty would take Tabby’s personally developed resources and present them as hers during the meeting with the superiors. This behavior made Tabby look inferior to the management as Betty earned credit for effort she never made. During the weekly meeting with the clients and fellow workers, Betty could constantly interrupt Tabby, second-guessing her information while questioning her authority. This attitude was demeaning to Tabby, who was already contemplating to resign. At the time, the concerned customers asked questions, Betty could always and directly contradict the answers provided by Tabby. In her lament, Tabby claimed that there were moments that she thought Betty was paranoid. However, when she intervened as Betty and colleagues discussed her, Tabby discovered that the behavior was intentionally targeted at her. Although she never understood the overall intention of
Five months went on swiftly in time, we came very close, I mean our excavation, also in relationship too. Durga, what a beautiful name, is it because she is being named Durga, I feel like it is the most beautiful name? Or am I going mad due. “Love makes anyone go mad”, in my case, it’s clearly proved. I have actually spent five months with her in the camp, but it feels as if five minutes for me, I haven’t propose her though knowing the truth, she likes me. There’s nothing to my conscious impossible or scary to do, but this one is different, proposing a girl and convince her what one feel about her is an impossible one, not because women are weak but because, men are not strong enough to face that or am I the only man in this whole world
Approximately a minute or two later the Shift Supervisor, Lt. Rhodes stepped into the room and said he needed to see me in the hall. During our meeting with the Lt. Rhodes this matter was addressed and we were both given the chance to speak and tell our side of the story. After which Lt. Rhode reminded the both of us of our position and the responsibility of
Avoiding the furtive looks and surreptitious nudgings, the dark-haired officer made his way to his desk and sat down. He was in no mood for a grilling, the memories of the previous night still too painful to discuss. But he was out of luck. Within minutes of taking his seat, Fuller approached him, his captain’s expression a mask of serious contemplation. “We need to talk.”
“All these words are just a front. What I would really like to do is chain you to my body, then sing for days, days & days.” —Hafez
‘Lord Fox!’ yelled a voice. The strident voice rang through Lord Fox’s head, bouncing and echoing all the way until he snapped back into consciousness.
embark. Col. Barton, confident of the successful issue of his plot, passed among his chosen men who had assembled on the shore a few rods below the battery, and kindled in them his own bold spirit. Silently the little party gathered about their leader to receive his last commands. In a low voice he strictly enjoined them “to preserve the strictest order; to have no thought of plunder; to observe profound silence, and to take with them no spirituous liquors." “Everything has worked in our favor, lads,” he remarked cheerily. “Keep your mouths shut; obey
